Fine, earthy, very consistent food at reasonable prices

Stellina is located in Watertown Square, next to CVS. There is a huge but busy parking lot behind.
Stellina is one of the most consistent restaurants in Boston. The food is imaginative Italian, with a menu that reflects different regions and different seasons. They use many local suppliers.
The atmosphere is sophisticated, much more so than the usual restaurant in Boston. It could be New York. The wait staff is well trained.
Most dishes change with the seasons, but one perennial is the warm tomato and goat cheese salad - a large plate of warmed tomatoes with a round of goat cheese on toast points. It is too good.
Their pastas are always good. The Sangria is excellent.
