Overall I DO has a huge selection of bridal gowns and a large supply of bridesmaid dresses as well as accessories and shoes. The staff is extremely courteous and patient and offer a no-pressure environment to make your decisions. Weekends get quite busy, but weekdays are very quite. The store is a little small so bringing a large group is not recommended.

Although the Seattle location is quite small, the store is packed with a wide selection of gorgeous rings to chose from. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and are quick to offer soda, water, even a glass of wine to make your experience more comfortable. If you are not ready to make a purchase they will fill out a detailed reference card including pictures of the ring(s) you selected and/or designed. The card is available anytime you chose to return. I found the quality to be excellent, but the prices seem slightly higher than most competitors.

This little stand in the center of Alderwood Mall seems harmless enough, until you get the bill for their services. A simple battery exchange took 40 minutes on a quite afternoon and the charge was $27.00! This is far more expensive than any other local repair shops and you certainly pay for the convenience of one-stop-shopping. In the future I will certainly make an extra trip to a competitor that charges fairly for their services.

Rain offers state of the art equipment including weight machines, cardio equipment and a full line of pilates pieces. The machines are made in Italy and are so simple to operate- it is almost a pleasure to get through your workout. The club offers limited classes and a somewhat awkward schedule- but many classes are under attended allowing for more personalized attention. The gym is rarely crowded and offers a beautiful view of the waterfront while working out on the cardio equipment. The trainers are friendly and almost always available to answer questions or correct movements. I would caution potential members about the management and front desk staff, they tend to be rude at times. I was charged fees after canceling my membership and after three phone calls the owner refused to refund my money. Eventually I had to submit a dispute with VISA and received an immediate refund.

The RAC has all the ingredients to make an excellent health club- extremely clean facility, interesting classes, friendly staff and enough equipment to handle the membership. The gym's staff is the friendliest in town and each one makes an effort to greet you by name as you walk in the door. The classes are updated constantly and I can not recall ever waiting long for a piece of equipment. There is also a unique climbing wall to challenge the more adventurous members.

The prices are comparable to competitors, however there is tremendous value in escaping the hustle and bustle downtown to the serene setting of this salon. Note parking is not validated by Pacific Place stores.

Joni's Salon has an intimate feeling- in a large, spacious salon. With only three stylists, visiting Joni's feels like seeing an old friend. Unlike most salons where patrons are herded through like cattle, Joni's takes the time to ensure each person gets the perfect cut or color. The prices are at least 50% less than a major salon and the staff is so much friendlier.. Call ahead though, they have a lot of regulars and tend to book up fast.

If you live in Seattle, you must check out the Big Picture located under the El Gaucho restaurant. The theater plays 2nd run and indie films (i.e. Super-Size Me) and offers plush accommodations. You may order cocktails, beer or wine from the bar and situate yourself in the large, comfortable seats. You will also receive a champagne bucket filled with popcorn and enjoy the movie in an intimate theater that only seats about 30. Best of all, the ticket prices are far below regular theaters- weekdays $5.00 and weeknights $7.00. Note the theater is 21 and older.
