The Tennis Club of Riverdale prides themselves on being the "best" gym and tennis club in Riverdale. While there are some positives to membership (decent selection of machines and weights, and some classes), it is still not worth your while. We got into a fight about our membership and the staff was very rude and unaccomodating. We had to contest the charges with our credit card company and ended up getting our money back. Although, it is one of the only gyms in Riverdale, you are better of spending a little more for a NY Sports Club or Equinox.

West Care Medical Associates is a group of physicians of all specialties. This is a group of female physicians that take almost every kind of medical insurance. I recommend Dr. Alice Kim who is an Ob/GYN. within the practice. She is very efficient, thorough and provides excellent care. She explains everything in great detail and takes the time to answer any of your questions or concerns. She also returns phone calls in a timely manner, and will try you again if she doesn't reach you. She is affiliated with Saint Luke's Roosevelt on the West Side (59th street).

Dr. Aranoff is a great dermotologist. She gives great patient care, has a great bedside manner and is very thorough and efficient. She always takes the time to answer any questions. She will also give you several options and recommendations for certain problems. Since I have been seeing her as a doctor, she has cured me of my dermatological problems. Her office is very well located and is clean and comfortable. She is friendly, hard working and dedicated to patient care. She takes most insurances, but not all.

Dr. Matta has cared for my entire family for several years. He is an old school doctor and takes the time to get to know all of his patients. He does an extremely thorough job and will run all kinds of tests to make sure you are healthy. He spends a lot of time with you, making sure to answer all of your questions. He is affiliated with Mt. Sinai hospital. Unfortunately, he does not take insurance - but he is definitely worth the money.

They are also very timely and rarely keep you waiting. The hygentist usually cleans our teeth, and does a very thorough job. Dr, Dan found a cavity that another dentist missed as well as wisdom teeth that needed to be pulled. He and his staff are very friendly. Dr. Leon Landau is a hemotologist/ onclogist (blood and cancer doctor). He has two offices, the first located right across the street from Montefoire hospital. The second office is in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester. Dr. Landau is by far the most patient, honest, dedicated and hard-working doctor I have ever met. He truly cares for his patients and will take as much time as you need to discuss and concerns or problems. He also returns calls in a timely manner. Dr. Landau has a fabulous sense of humor, which is definitely needed in his profession. He really makes you feel safe and at ease. In addition, his office staff always greet you with a smile, and will do their best to help you feel comfortable.

Dr. Tepler is a GI doctor and is part of a group of other GIs. He gives great patient care, has good manerisms and clearly explains everything he is doing. He returns phone calls right away and always takes the time to fully answer questions and ask how you are doing. He is affiliated with Montefoire hospital and works in his office on Tuesdays and Fridays. The office staff is very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend him.

They have a great wine sale before Passover and Rosh Hashanah. They have a large variety of wine from cheaper kiddish wines to expensive French wines. They lack however, a large selection of other types of kosher liquor.
