I have an older Honda Accord that we used to take to Roush for service as it was close to work. I had a few oil changes and other standard maintenance checks done there when a check engine light came on. We took it in and they diagnosed it as a faulty sensor. It was going to be about $800 to fix it. I asked about 10 times whether it was part of a recall (the car only had about 70,000 miles on it and I wasn't planning on doing this every 70 grand) and they said no.
I decided that I would wait and get a second opinion so when I went to pick up the car they said that it actually was part of a recall and that there would be no charge. I am not sure why the first three people I talked to didn't identify it as a recall issue but the whole situation left me uneasy. I haven't been back to the service department since then.
Other than that incident, however, it seemed to be a good service shop.
