My first stop while car-shopping last year was Husson Motors. It turned out to be a good experience, because it gave me a good place to negotiate with other dealers. As soon as they realize they don't have what you want, or are unwilling to sell if for your price, they immediately try to sell you something you don't want -- and usually for higher than your price. They "negotiate" with you by starting somewhere outrageous and ending somewhere too expensive, and then try to get a handshake out of you, almost hoping to guilt you into a deal -- especially if you allow them to take you on a test drive, they try to make that an obligation of some kind. I actually went back a couple times and test drove a couple vehicles. I insisted I wanted to pay cash, and they kept talking about financing -- anything to make the sale. I'm not saying you can't get a good deal there, just know what you want and what you're willing to pay, and stick to your guns.

Dance centers seem to be a dime a dozen, but the exceptional ones stand out head and shoulders above the rest. Along with 5-6-7-8 is Lisa Pilato's Dance Center in Bridgewood Plaza on Route 38. Lisa accepts dancers across many ages, from young children to adults, and her school teaches many dance forms, including tap, ballet, jazz and modern forms. They also teach individual and team dance. My best friend's daughters attend, and they love dancing and they love the teachers. They have made many friends and learned valuable disciplines.

Canobie Lake Park has been a staple in the Mass-NH area for decades, growing from a small amusement park with a tiny midway to a major amusement and water park with all kinds of entertainment draws. The park itself still has its own staples, the roller-coater and the sky ride among others. The addition of water rides was brilliant, because now you can enjoy a lot of different activities without having to go to separate venues. No matter how big it gets, it still has that New England feel to it. Canobie Lake is still a great place for the whole family.

Super Clean laundry is a full- and self-service facility, that is indeed super clean. The building is open and spacious with plenty of coin-op washing machines from normal to extra-large loads. They have a reflective number of coin-op dryers. There is plenty of sorting and folding space, no one is crammed. There is plenty of space to sit while you wait, and Super Clean has a pinball machine, a TV and a collection of magazines. It's generally quiet enough to bring your own books. Super Clean also has a drop-off service.

5-6-7-8 Dance Studio is an excellent business located on Lakeview Ave in Dracut. My nieces have taken dance classes with 5-6-7-8 for many years. They really like the instructors and have learned so much about dance in that time. They take tap, jazz, ballet, and modern dance. At the end of the year 5-6-7-8 has a huge recital at Lowell High School with multiple shows. The students put on a great show and have a wonderful time doing so.
