On the Cleveland Institute of Art campus in University Circle, the Cleveland Cinematheque has been bringing an eclectic mix of films to discerning audiences (and film nerds) for many years. Films are show in an auditorium, on a less than megaplex sized screen, so be forewarned. The seats are hard, auditorium seats, just how you remember them. $8 per film ($13 for two in one night) will have you second guessing your choice to see a film here, but please stay.
The selection of the films is where Cinematheque shines. Films you simply will not see anywhere else – anime, obscure foreign films, documentaries and the occasional revival. If you love film, you simply must check out the Cinematheque. The schedules are available on line, or at most area coffee houses and cool restaurants.
