First off, let me say that I never had Dr. Thaler as a primary care physician, instead I had Dr. Thaler as a teacher. He taught a class called Healing, Harming, and Humanism at a local college. He is a terrific teacher and is very knowledgeable when it comes to patient-doctor relationships. He knows how to listen and seems great at diagnosing people's problems. If he's as good a doctor as he is a teacher, then I greatly recommend Dr. Thaler as a physician.

If you’re looking to pamper your pet, Chic Petique on South Street is the place to do so. I came with a friend and her dog to the petique and it’s basically a boutique which devotes most of its time to grooming and taking care of your pet. They did a really good job in taking care of my friend’s dog. However, they’re moderately expensive for their service, so you came to the right place to treat you pet.

The Philadelphia Record Exchange is a unique record store. At this shop, you can buy, sell, and trade LPs and even CDs. I never sold or traded any items there, but I’m sure it’ll be a breeze. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The store itself specializes in jazz, but also has many other records and CDs of different genres and ages. It’s walls, closets, and even basement is literally full of LPs. The Philadelphia Record Exchange is a great place to check out if you’re LP shopping.

Blue Mountain Vineyards is a traditional wine shop. Located on South Street, this store houses plenty of wines to choose from. In addition, they shelve a lot of their homegrown local wines (made in New Tripoli, PA). I’ve never had their wine (Blue Mountain brand), but am inclined to try it. Ask if they will let you sample some before you buy a whole bottle. Their selection is decent and their prices are relatively reasonable. If you’re looking for wine, Blue Mountain Vineyards is a good place to start.
