This store has just about any thing you could need for a good Jewish home. Their library is extensive and they have a wonderful selection of kiddush cups. While the staff is orthodox, they seem very at home dealing with those of us from other denominations. A big plus is that if your synagogue has registered with them in advance, they will donated 10% of your purchase to the shul. Just remember to check and see if your shul is listed.

The Hammerstein Ballroom is a great venue for concerts. The main floor is always different because they have removable chairs that can be configured for any event. The acoustics are perfect befitting the history of this place as the one time Opera House it was. The Ballroom can be rented for many events and corporate shows. This is why it can be a boxing ring one day and a synagogue for the High Holy Days the next. They will both feel special.

When you walk into the Beacon Theater you may feel that you are stepping back in time. The seats are pretty comfy and the look of the hall is down right shabby but that is part of its charm. The large statues that frame the stage give it an importance that screams "history". The acoustics are very good for a live concert but the stickiness of the floor is downright Yuch. I love the view from all over this impressive hall.
