Karl's Hardware is awesome. Everytime I go there, the people are very knowledgable about helping you find what you need and they know right where it's located in the store. They'll even help you get it to your car if you need it. Things are often a little more pricey than if you were to buy them at Home Depot or something, but that's to be expected for a small business that is "right down the street". Sometimes things are cheaper there, though. Karl's always does a good job supporting the community as well, which makes them even cooler.

Suzy is the only hair cutting person I go to. She's been cutting my hair for several years and she is always so nice and she remembers my whole family and always asks about how I'm doing at school and stuff. And she always gets my haircut just right! Yay! She's so insanely busy all the time though. Whole little town wants her to cut their hair. So apparently she isn't taking new customers anymore. I've never had anyone else at Diamond cut my hair, it seems like they mostly do weekly appointments for older ladies, so I don't have any comments on them. But if you get a chance to make an appt with Suzy, I recommend it!

How could anyone rate Disneyland as anything other than a 5? It is always associated with childhood glee. Once people grow up they are always like "I haven't been to Disneyland since..." I do not know anyone who doesn't like Disneyland. If you go you have to ride everything! Even though it is pretty hard to ride and see everything in only one day. Just spend more than one day there! No matter how many times you go in your life, there is always something left that you haven't seen or somewhere you haven't eaten or something you haven't ridden. Just an all around happy place to go :)

This is a great place to go cool off in the summer. There are so many water rides and pools to have fun in all day. Make sure you wear a lot of sunscreen and drink a lot of water throughout the day, though. It gets pretty hot out. If you get motion sick, I wouldn't recommend spending the entire day there because by the end of the day you'll feel like you're still on a boat when you're trying to drive home or go to sleep.

I think this is a really nice beach. It's also a really popular beach so there are people everywhere, but it's great if you like to people watch because a lot of people there are ones that like to show themselves off. There's often events going on there too, so there's plenty to do. On Main Street at the Pier there is also shopping and restaurants. The water is usually pretty blue with good waves, but occassionally it won't be so clean, and a couple times I've gone there were jellyfish everywhere (the lifeguard said they were just "passing through" though, so I have no idea how long they'll be there). The sand is clean and soft and if you go out in the water it's not rocky and you can wade out pretty far. Parking is really expensive ($12) right on the beach, so I recommend if you are ok with a bit of a walk that you park in the neighborhoods just off of PCH (7th-10th streets is usually a good place to find free parking if you're going to the Pier).

I haven't been to the LA Zoo recently, and it is the only zoo I've ever been to, so maybe my review isn't the most reliable... But as a kid I went several times. What I remember most was the wasps EVERYWHERE. At every trash can. And eating place. And cage. And water fountain. Wasps. It was terrifying when I was little. I also remember it being pretty dirty, but maybe that was just b/c I remember the wasps everywhere, but mostly at the trash cans. I also remember walking a lot, I would always be tired and hot at the end of the day. I'd really like to go back now that I'm older to see if anything has changed, but I would choose the SD Zoo over the LA one any day (even though I've never been...)

This is a great theme park! Not for the coaster-phobic though. If your kids are scared of the coasters, they can still have fun in all the arcades and on the little rides, though, but it might not be so fun for you to keep track of them and spend money on games and food, etc. I'd recommend Disneyland for kids instead. For teens and people in their 20s this is an awesome place to hang out because it is pretty cheap if you get a season pass and you live close. For people that are older, you can still have fun, but it probably wouldn't be as appealing as it's not the cleanest place ever, or the friendliest. There's just so many people that use it as a local hangout that it's not ideal for vacationing, but definitely a place you have to visit at some point. They also go through employees like no other (I should know, I worked there for a whole 2 months once upon a time) so employees may not be so knowledgable as they should be... But TONS OF FUN if you love coasters!! WEee...

There are so many things to see at this museum that you can't possibly do it all in one trip. And things are always changing. Besides the art, there is beautiful architecture, pretty fountains, and gardens everywhere. There is also a place where you can look out over the city and see everything. It is not a place you should rush through just so you can see everything. It is a place you should relax. Eat lunch, lounge in the grass, take time to appreciate what you're looking at, etc. It would also be a nice place to study. They have activities for kids and tours too. I've heard there's free parking if you take a motorcycle and that there is also a shuttle that goes from Westwood to the Getty, but I haven't experienced these personally.

I went here to get my cat "fixed" when he was a kitten. I called a few places to find out how much they charged for the procedure, already having a price of somewhere around $30 total in mind. A lot of places in Los Angeles want like $100!! I've had cats all my life and my family has NEVER paid $100 to have a cat neutered. Sorry, but no. I kept looking and I found this place. They fit my budget perfectly and the procedure + shots only takes a few hours. Drop the cat off in the morning, pick him up in the evening. The people were also really friendly and the place was cute and clean on the inside, even though it seemed kinda run down on the outside. You could tell that the people who worked there love what they do and love animals. One woman ran out from the back room after they brought my kitten back there to exclaim to me just how adorable he was! :)

I've seen this as the highest rated Mexican restaurant in the Antelope Valley on another website and have heard about it a lot on the radio also. I took my roommate there last year and he said it tasted like his mom's cooking, it was that good. If you go on Saturday (I think) there's a $5 lunch buffet and you get SO MUCH good food. Even when I have ordered normal meals, you get A LOT of food and it is all good. The owners walk around and make sure everything is going well, too. It's a very friendly place.
