The decor of Dynasty reminds me a lot of expensive middle-class restaurants in Hong Kong: spacious, glitzy and a bit out of place. Nonetheless, the food there is really good...if you are willing to pay that much for it. They specialize in seafood, but you must try their Peking Duck. It's hard to get the skin to the right degree of crispiness, yet leaving a good layer of fat underneath. The buns must also be moist and soft, not hard and frozen-like. If you are going with family, I recommend one of the set dinners, which gives you a taste of everything. I also recommend the sea bass. It just melts in your mouth like no other fish can do. Dim sum there is also good, but pretty comparable with other local dim sum restaurants. They lack the lotus bean paste bun and other favorites, but the price is good. Lastly, if you have a big party of say 10 people, you could get a private room with a karaoke set. Sing your heart out before dinner to work out an appetite. Located near Macy's in Vallco, it's a bit depressing if you have to walk through the mall to get to the restaurant. So park close and walk to it's outer entrance. more
