This is considered the best High School in New York City. Students have to take a test just to get accepted. Many Junior High School hopefuls are disappointed and cry each year when they find out their score did not meet the minimum requirements.
The school is really nice. It is probably one of the few High Schools in New York City that has escalators in the school. They have their own indoor pool and a seemingly spotless school. The neighborhood is Battery Park City, which is an upper class residential area. I am sure the neighborhood residents help fund the school as well. This is a great school and should not be overlooked.

I'm sure most people have heard of Columnia University, since it is one of the top Universities in New York City and the US. The education is top notch. From what I've heard, the classes are rigorous and challenges the students. You really do have to work hard to get by at this school. But once you do, finding work will be easy as Kids Jeopardy.
The campus is really nice. The dorms look more like high priced New York City apartment buildings than ugly dorms in most universities. As I recall, all in coming freshmen get their own dorm rooms as well. That is very rare among Universities to offer individual dorm rooms.
There are also many clubs and activities to join. Of all my friends who attend there, they all love it there. Go if you have the opportunity.

This is a great elementary school. It is rather big for an elementary school with its two buildings combined. The staff there is excellent and the afterschool programs offer kids many activities to do.
The neighborhood is generally safe. It is a block away from the busy Canal Street and Little Italy. There are plenty of restaurants to take your kids to eat if you ever feel the need.
The school teaches kids everything from spelling to geography, and of course the basic math and sciences subjects. Students are required to complete a science fair project once they reach a certain grade. This is a great event as it teaches the kids first hand how science works. They also have ESL and Resource programs for children who struggle with school. It is a very well organized school in my opinion.

Morning Glory is a stationary type store located in Flushing, NY. It is a Korean based company that imports merchandise from Asian countries. This is the place to be if you're a fan of Sanrio, Hello Kitty, or other Asian plushie products.
Aside from plushies and stationary, this store also has imported candy, gum, posters, and many collectables. I recommend this store to girls who love stationary. It has very little stuff for guys, except maybe their delicious candies. It's probably not worth a trip all the way to Flushing just to check this store out, but definately worth entering if you are passing by.

I have many friends who attend Stony Brook and their opinions of this school goes both ways. The positive of this school is that it's not too far from New York City and has somewhat of a good reputation in the medical field. But like most SUNY Universities, this is also a party school.
Your child will learn if they have the will to learn. Make no mistake, a person can learn a lot going to Stony Brook, or any other University, it just depends mostly on their own will. I would recommend Stony Brook to anyone who wants to experience freedom yet not to the extent of an out of state college.
This University, for now, still has a respectable reputation from New York City employers. I don't know if this will be the case a few years from now, but give it a go. It's not the worst SUNY out there.

This is a good bookstore because it has the atmosphere of a vintage bookstore. It is not modernized like a Barnes and Noble, but more like a larger scale mom and pop bookstore. They have wall to wall shelves of books to choose from. You can easily spend hours in there and probably not noice.
It can get rather crowded in there though. It's kind of tight in there so if you don't like crowds, you might want to stay away. But overall, it's still a great bookstore.

This is a great theatre! It is the only theatre (as far as I know) located in the area of 34th Street. You'd think that since that is such a high priced area then the theatre would be expensive too, but it's actually cheaper than a lot of Manhattan theatres. The prices are $9.50, which is pretty high if you're not from New York, but pretty low if you are. They have a very open spaced lobby for people to stand around and decide.
This theatre does get somewhat crowded though. Sometimes a movie can get sold out 3 hours in advance if the movie is really popular (War of the Worlds). But usually it is not a problem if you just come a little early. They even let you in the theatres early, unlike most theatres that make you wait until 30 minutes before starting time.

I am a guy but my girlfriend goes to this store all the time. It is one of her favorite places to shop in NYC. This place is usually full of customers (all women of course) browsing around. They offer a variety of clothing to suit your style needs.
It has come to my attention that a lot of women love this store. It is not just your average clothing shop that you would see in every other corner. There is something special about this store that sets it apart. I honeslty do not know what because I am a guy. But this is the only women's clothing store name that I remembered out of the hundreds I've been to. There's gotta be something special about this to accomplish that.
Stop by there, I think you'd like it.

Stay away from this Junior High School. Don't ever let your child go there. The education is poor, the teachers are dumb, and the school is not safe. Your child will receive a lot of bad influence just by attending there. The education is so poor that I do not believe I learned anything from that school.
They lack good afterschool programs and educated teachers. Once there was a fire in a classroom and the substitute teacher just ran out of the class leaving the students to fend for themselves.
This school is not safe. I got roughed up a couple of times while there. Stay away.

A1Wireless is either a hit or miss when it comes to getting you a good cellphone deal. Their good deals mainly consists of many rebates to complete, so of course the probability of something going wrong is pretty high.
My rebate was not what I expected. I received less money than advertised but my balance still ended up being on the positive side for the phone. I got money back, just not as much as I expected.
I have heard many bad reviews about this place, some even claim that their changed their name just to escape their bad reputation. I personally would probably give them another chance due to my experience, but only if there is a really good deal with not much rebates. The rebates are a hassle to deal with, so anyone who doesn't like waiting six months for rebates should not bother.
