This really is a great place to be. The Bronx Zoo is a great escape from the city life. Here you will be lost in a large environment of nature and animals. They also have rides and plenty of kids activities.
The Bronx Zoo is one of those places where you can spend the entire day at. Kind of like when you're at an amusement park. I don't think it is possible to see every animal the Bronx Zoo has to offer in just one day. It is rather big and you can easily get lost in there (I know my friend did).

Definately not the best place to play some pool. This is a dim place like most Pool Halls. The game prices are probably a bit higher than average. And I don't like the fact that there are so many teenagers smoking around the Pool Hall. I can't recall if they allow smoking indoors, but there are certainly lots of smoking. They also serve drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.
This is not my kind of place. There are better pool halls out there, ones that are more socialable.

The prices are very good. It is considered cheap, that is why so many people go there. As I recall, you can take the F train there.
I would recommend this place only because you really can't go wrong if you're bowling with a bunch of friends. It's really the company you're with that matters, not the location.

This museum is donate based. They have a suggested price but you do not have to give them anything. In fact, I suggest you do not give them any money at all. A professor of mine who worked at many museums told me that museums are rich. They receive tons of private donations, they don't have to pay taxes, and the admission fee is just another way to earn some pocket change for them.
Anyway, this is an interesting museum. They have many sections of art to suit your needs. Some exhibits are more detailed than others, but they are all great. You'll learn a lot just by visiting this museum. The art has extensive history behind them, it's such a great learning experience.

Astroland is also known to many as Coney Island. The two are completely different in meaning but similar in people's thoughts.
Astroland has been around for a while. The rides are vintage but the attraction is still there. Nothing makes a kid more excited than taking a train to Coney Island and seeing the giant glowing Ferris Wheel as the train approaches it's final stop. This might not have the pizazz of Disney World or the rides of Six Flags Great Adventure, but it has it's landmark attractions (after all, this is where Nathans originated). People will always remember Astroland as the city beach that was easily accessible by train. For city dwellers without cars, this was a big deal.
Coney Island is not the cleanest of places. The water is dirty and the sand has way too many shells. But it is still a beach after all. There are lots of activities to indulge in rather than going to the beach. Astroland offers many rides and there is a batting cage within walking distance. Definitely not a bad place to be.

Madison Square Garden is the epitome of great live action. At the MSG, you can catch the circus, basketball, hockey, job fairs, and so much more. If you're a basketball fan, then you have to attend a Knicks game at least once in your life. This was the place that originated the chant, "DEFENSE, DEFENSE".
MSG also features the circus during certain times of the year. This is always a family fun filled event. Your kids will have great memories if you bring them there for the first time--I certainly did.
MSG is the place to be!

There is little to be said about Yankees Stadium that isn't already known. This place is incredible! You do not have to be a baseball fan to enjoy coming to Yankees Stadium. The thought of sitting on the bleachers for 3 hours might sound unpleasent, but the moment you experience the fanfare of your surroundings, time will fly. This place has such a good feeling to it that you'll get lost in the moment.
Catch a game with the Yankees! You don't have to be a baseball fan. You can go there to meet guys, girls, or just new friends. Every game is a great social event.

This is one of the few laser parks in New York City. It is located in the heart of Times Square right next to T.G.I.Fridays.
This place features laser tag games as well as a wide variety of arcade games to play with. The laser tag game passes really quickly for a 30 minute session. Not all the equipment works too. You might be unlucky and get the laser gun that does not register shots. But what are the chances of that? :)
The arcades is why I go there. The arcades are quarter based. They have both game arcades and the kind that disburses tickets for prizes. The prizes are mediocre but it's still a great (and fun) feeling to have something to take home.
They also have an indoors bar that parents can go to and relax while the kids play.

This is arguably the worst High School in New York City. The place is rundown and busted. The school as well as the neighborhood is unsafe. The stairwells at this school is disgusting with dripping water and broken glass. The lights are dim and not at all proficient for teaching.
This school consists of many immigrants who just migrated from another country; so there are a lot of non-English speakers at this school. It is also next to the Baruch Project housings, which is not exactly the greatest or safest of neighborhoods.
Students should avoid this school at all cost. It is not the most dangerous High School is NYC (that would probably be Lafayette High School) but it is still a poor excuse for a school.

Parsons to Art schools is like MIT to engineering schools. Some might argue that this statement is exaggerating, but the people I've known who come out of there really do find excellent jobs. Anyone interested in art or fashion should consider applying to this school.
