This is one of the fancier performing arts centers in New York City. On any given night, they will either have a play, classical music concert, or some other fancy event. They also host many graduations for various High Schools and Colleges.
This place is rather old, and perhaps that's a good thing to help their fancy image. I personally do not like it because I'm not a performing arts fan. But many people like it so give it a chance.
