Santa's Village was THE place to go if you couldn't get to Great America. I remember having good memories there as a kid. We would take an annual trip as part of a company picnic and enjoy the whole day there.
They had Racing Rapids next door and you could use both parks for the price of one in those days.
Now that I look at it, it's more of a kid's park. There isn't much for adults to do there except watch the kids. There aren't any exciting roller coasters or scary rides for daredevil's.
If you have children, particularly up to 10 years of age, then they can enjoy this park. If you're a thrill seeker, than go to Great America or Cedar Point.

I remember in the mid 1990s when the SUV craze was starting to catch on. The premier SUV vehicle at that time was the Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and I was lucky to have one then. It was a smooth ride, but was even smoother was the way the deal was made at Jeep of Schaumburg.
They were helpful and very trustworthy. So much so, that after my lease was up, I traded it in for a new model! I loved that machine.
Jeep of Schaumburg has won several awards for their service, loyalty, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
If you are in the market, I suggest you pay them a visit. Ask for Lefty.

Life: Be In It. This was the motto that used to hang outside the Schaumburg Park District building on Springinsguth Road in the 1980s.
I remember going there for open gym and shooting hoops with the older guys. There were, and still are, a lot of gym rats. The Park District offers a wide variety of activities for all ages, including soccer, tennis, gymnastics, etc.
It is a special place for me because of all the after school activities that I did there. It's a great alternative to the street and runnin' with thugs and drugs.
If you are in the area, then you should definitely get involved or get your young ones in an activity.

Although the owner is Pakistani, the fare is cooked Indian style, particularly the way food was prepared in old Delhi.
It's a prototype fast-food restaurant, if there is such a thing for Indian food. Meaning, it's not a typical sit-down restaurant. I've had carry-out as well as sit in food here.
The owner is nice and the cook is skilled at certain dishes. His preparations include a wide variety of chicken and vegetarian dishes. Try the butter chicken or Seekh Kebab. You will not be disappointed.
The service is quick and friendly and the food is good at very reasonable rates.

I have been to Viceroy of India three times and none of them were by choice. I have not really enjoyed my food there and have always felt that there was something lacking, whether the right combination of spices or something that needed to be tweaked in the flavor.
Service is good and the bar has a decent selection to choose from.
I wouldn't choose this as my first choice when it comes to an Indian restaurant to eat at, however, if you are going with a group of friends or to a party that is being hosted at Viceroy's banquet hall, it's not a horrendous experience.
It's just my experience that you have better options.

Dr. Levinson is a no-nonsense doctor who is a specialist in rheumatology as well as primary care. He is a throwback to the doctors of an era past who say it like it is and don't bother sugar-coating. This is not to say that the good doctor is not caring and compassionate. He definitely is, but is main concern is your well being and if losing weight and changing your eating habits will lower your cholesterol and prevent a heart attack, well that's his goal.
He is a smart man who is a continuous student. He is always reading the latest journals and is up to date on recent developments and news in the world of medicine.
He is someone you can trust.

Motor Werks of Barrington is the ultimate destination for luxury cars. Just walking into their showroom is a humbling experience. It's like a museum, or an auto show in itself.
They sell Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche, Cadillac, Honda, Infinity, etc. They have all the high end models on display. The showroom goes on and on and each Make and Model is displayed in all its glamour.
The staff is extremely knowledgeable and there for assistance. I am sure they know that a lot of people come in just to have a look. They are always ready to offer any help, but are not pushy like the stereotypical used car salesman.
You can be assured of getting a fair deal and the car of your choice. The selection is so huge, that if they don't have your exact specifications in stock, they will get it custom made for you.
You should pay them a visit just to check out the premises.

Mercedes Benz of Hoffman Estates recently opened its doors. It is an offshoot of Motor Werks of Barrington, IL. Mercedes Benz of Hoffman Estates offers a large selection of mercedes of all classes. All the latest models are present or can be ordered, including the new Maybach.
They are located on Golf Road which is the heart of the car dealers of the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago. Its a fitting location and I always wondered why there wasn't a luxury car dealership there.
My experience with MB of HE has been very positive. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They aren't the typical pushy salesman trying to make a commission. Of course they want to sell you a car, but you are treated professionally, as if you are their most important client. They attract high class individuals, even professional athletes, yet they treat each customer equally, with dignity and respect.
I would give them a shot.

I recently got insurance for vision through Vision Benefits of America. I decided to go to Eye Boutique since it was listed as a place that accepts the insurance.
My experience was terrible from the start. First I had to wait over an hour for my appointment, despite being present for my allotted time slot. Then I was told that I needed to bring the insurance form for them to complete the formalities. I did all that, and the next time I thought everything was settled. When I returned for a follow-up visit for the fitting portion of the lenses, I was harrassed to buy contacts through them and that if I didn't, how it would be a 'huge mistake.' They had a guy whose sole job was to be the insurance handler who treated me with very little respect as if I was unworthy of his little vision shop.
The optometrist was actually very good through all this. Their service by the staff was horrendous. Their prices are astronomically higher. Let's just say that other people from my work have the same insurance and went to other places. They got their eye exams, follow up visit, as well as a year's supply of contacts. I barely had the eye exam covered and was made to pay for a year's supply of lenses.
Be aware!
