Chicago is famous for its deep dish pizza. We have several restaurants that serve great pizza, but I think Gino's East tops them all.
It's crust is perfect, the sauce is beyond words, and the cheese is just so yumm!!! I recommend the sausage patty, yes patty. You can also get sausage in crumbs like most restaurants. I always get the deep dish. Spinach is another great choice. Thin crust pizza is good, but their bread and butter is the deep dish.
They have a few locations locally, and the original one is in the heart of downtown Chicago. It's been featured on several national shows and has always been a favorite of celebrities.

I purchased a car earlier this year. Rather than obtain financing from my own bank, I was talking into getting a car loan through my car dealer.
I didn't know it was Oak Brook Bank that decided to be my lender until I received a stack of payment coupons from them.
I have had trouble with them from the begining. My credit scores are solid and I have never missed a payment. Despite this stellar record, I have been harrassed by Oak Brook Bank repeatedly. They send me a letter every month asking for verification of insurance, even though my insurance agency has sent it to them five times! They don't look at their records and send me threatening letters that my credit rating will take a hit or they will drop me.
If anyone knows how I can get out of my contract with them, let me know. I would not recommend anyone to knowingly borrow from them, no matter what rate they offer. It's just not worth it.

I first went to Medieval Times when it opened over 10 years ago. It was a novel act and something worth seeing.
I recently went and wasn't exactly thrilled. It's a great facility, and the shows are well-planned and entertaining. However, the food is terrible. I mean, you want to get a decent bite to eat when you go out for dinner. This just doesn't cut it.
I went to a Pirate's Show in Orland, FL a few months ago, and now I realize that these are all basically the same. You always see kids there from schools and they are very enthusiastic.
I think it's ok for the show, but don't expect a great meal.

My mom got Lasik surgery done from Lasik Plus Vision Center. She found out about them from a friend who raved about the difference in her eyesight.
I took my mom there. Nice office, friendly staff, and very efficient. They don't waste your time. They are direct and explain everything. The surgery was quick. My mom had a patch for a day and was told to use artificial tears regularly for the first few weeks, and then as needed. She is so glad that she doesn't have to wear glasses or squint.
I am thinking about getting it done as well, but I was told to wait until your vision is at least -2 or worse. Anyways, their equipment is excellent and the rates are worth it. There may be some cheaper deals out there, but when it comes to your eyes, trust someone who is well-reputed.

In the process of renovating my basement for the football season. I plan to have a few get togethers there during games. I had an old pool table that came with the house that I wanted to upgrade. After shopping around a bit, I was referred to Russo's. Although a little bit out of the way, they had some great deals on the best brands. They were open to negotiation. They didn't give me a trade-in, but delivered my new table 2 days later (would have been next day, but I wasn't at home). They helped me move my old table out. Great set up and I got free cue sticks and a play kit as part of the deal.
Check them out if you're in the market.

It's almost Autumn, so time for that annual ritual of 'winterizing' the lawn and landscaped areas for the cold season. I called these guys after I got a coupon for deep root tree and shrub fertilization, fall lawn fertilization as well as lawn aeration.
The rates were reasonable, it sure beats doing it yourself. The work was clean and professional. They had the right equipment for the job. It was a little over $100 for the whole job. It saved me time and I know my lawn will be ready for next spring.

X'Ess is a well decorated salon with a sleek look. It is geared for women and offers a host of services such as hair treatments, coloring, waxing, manicures, touch-ups and good old fashioned hair cuts. They specialize in hair and offer beauty tips. They now offer many things that you would find in an upscale, trendy day spa.
My girlfriend went there last summer and had a positive experience. I thought the staff was very friendly and polite. I know firsthand because I was there waiting for an hour for her to finish and I chatted with them!

Shelter Inc's Thrift Shop has some amazing good stuff. It's open to the public. It is stocked with things people didn't want and other donated items that have been collected over time. As they say, one man's junk is another man's treasure.
I went in there a while back looking for that magical baseball card that would be worth thousands of dollars or just something that I could use for college. I got some decent looking furniture at an unbelievably low price that me. My roommate cashed in on some household items that were useful during our stay together.
It's run by Shelter Inc. which is a very trustworthy charity that sponsors foster children and takes care of them while they find suitable parents.
It's a very worthwhile visit if you want to get something and not spend a ton. It's also a good cause if you want to donate some of that old junk that's sitting in your attic.

Luxury Motors is the greatest dealership ever. They have all the luxurious cars ever made. This dealership is straight out of something you would see on shows like Cribs and The Great Life of.
They have Bentleys, Rolls Royce, Mercedes, Maybach, BMWs, Hummers, Audis, etc. If you like fast cars, they can get the latest Ferraris, Porsches, Vipers, Lotus, etc. Their clients are strictly upscale. I have seen professional athletes their from the NBA and NFL.
Their service staff is so nice. They knew I wasn't going to buy something, yet they let you look around and answer all your questions. They are very patient and kind people. I guess they know that someday you may strike it rich and become a potential client. Now that's good business.

Charmi Jewelers has been around for a few years in the west Schaumburg area. Initially, it was well-stocked and it seemed as if they were poised to do well in the area. Their major business is in 22 karat gold items for the Indian crowd.
Since then, however, their selection has been just okay. They have a few items of the latest fads and trends, but mostly just the same gold jewelry. Not much of a range in rings or watches. They have mostly women's gold sets.
I think they are ok for some things like a small gift or present like a gold ring or gold chain, but for something lavish or trendy, you are better off going to another jewelry store.
I found their prices to be slightly higher than other places. Service is decent.
