Tim Stoesz, of Stoesz & Stoesz in Westfield, is a fantastic lawyer! I chose him as my divorce lawyer after a friend recommended him. He gave me great, honest, grounding advice when I needed it. Although it didn't come to that point, I felt Tim would've gone the distance for me. He was gentle in his dealings with me, yet a hard $$$ with the opposing lawyer and her client. His rates are reasonable and I never felt like he overcharged our time.

In an area primarily populated with industry there is a hidden gem known as John's Famous Stew. I found this place on Yahoo Maps and after a quick call to find out if it was still open, decided to meet a friend at John's for lunch. It was a risk well taken! Despite a menu full of sandwiches and comfort foods, we decided we couldn't dine at John's Famous Stew and not try out the stew. You have 3 choices - mild, medium and hot. I chose medium and my companion ordered hot. It was fantastic! Just be warned, the hot is loaded with heat. My friend enjoys his food very, VERY spicy and was really impressed that his stew was prepared with the amount of heat he would normally give food at home - more than the typical person no doubt. We took a chance on John's, enjoyed the food and will definitely return in the near future.

Rick's has a lot going for it on Indy's west side. There's the beautiful view of Eagle Creek Reservoir which on summer nights can be crowded with sailboats. The deck has a large bar area, and seating is available outside with an amazing view of the water. The atmosphere inside is plush, cozy and romantic. The menu is eclectic and the food is fantastic. If your mother-in-law only eats chicken fingers, don't bother. But Rick's is great for romantic dates, impressive business dinners and celebrations of any kind. It's expensive, so again if you're looking for chicken fingers, there's a BK down the road.

Chocolate Moose is one of those unique, small-town boutiques necessary to visit when you're looking for something different to give this year. Besides the delectable chocolate treats behind the displays, they have Jelly Bellys and custom-colors M&Ms. There's a wonderful selection of gifts including figurines, stuffed animals, plaques and so much more. A must-visit shop in Brownsburg.

Ok, this is a car dealership. They're out to make money, my money. Well the last time I took my Ford Explorer in to get it serviced I was pleasantly surprised at the good, friendly service I recieved. They weren't pushy when I said no to the extras. I also had them to look at my truck and tell me how much they would offer to buy it. When I told the used car sales manager what I was hoping for, he showed me what he could give me (significantly less of course) and proceeded to give me advice about how I could sell it myself and get what I wanted. What a great surprise. No "There's no way you're going to get that much, people aren't buying those, blah blah, just sell it to me and put yourself out of your misery" pressure. Just a very friendly, encouraging interaction with some really nice people. I know Brownsburg is growing like crabgrass, but we still have a small town feel!

Boulder Creek is one Brownsburg's best restaurants. You'll notice when you walk in the cozy, mountain-top cabin atmosphere with large beams and stone accents. Although sometimes it can be too dark to read your menu, some consider that romantic. Service tends to be quick and friendly. Their best menu items are the steaks and ribs. They have a combo option so you can try both - good choice! Otherwise the fillet is fantastic! The pastas are tasty as well, but tend to pack a spicy punch. The Campfire Fettucini is a good choice there. They also offer woodfire pizzas, sandwiches and salads that will all leave you satisfied. If you still have room, finish your meal off with the bread pudding! Delicious! Entrées range from $13-$20.

Green Street is a good place to meet for lunch, dinner or drinks. If everyone is over 21, the bar area is well-sized and offers the full menu and a good selection of beers. It's a good place to even have an off-site meeting. For families, the dining area is nice. Kids love the two large aquariums and guys will appreciate the silent TVs playing ESPN. As for the food, everyone is sure to find something they like. There's a great variety from sandwiches, pastas to steaks. Thursday night they offer ribs. My favorite is the breaded cod sandwich. Good choice in Brownsburg!
