I am a member and an employee of the Brea Community Center. They have a gymnasium with 2 basketball courts, an aerobic room, and gym. There are a few table tennis tables, a few classrooms for, and conference rooms. They have a family resource center within the community center, as well as a very large hall in the back used for churches, weddings, and conferences.
There are aerobic classes for everyone. There are very many classes offered at the BCC. There are different types of yoga classes and kickboxing classes. The classes offered are pretty up to date, or cutting edge.
The gym is being expanded constantly, as personal training has been established for 1 1/2 years now. The members in the gym and classes are very friendly. It really is a community. Everyone knows each other, and if you are new, it is not long before someone does talk to you. Before you know it, you are one of them, the kindest and friendliest people. These people aren't slackers either.
The community center runs an after school program as well. This seems to be run so that the parents know that their kids are doing something constructive after school, whether it is study, or some type of sport, or just holding healthy conversations with their peers. The program is run by college kids, which is nice because for the most part these students respect their program leaders.
The BCC front desk staff is very friendly, if you have a chance to speak with them, do.
All the people that run the center from behind the scenes, are very concerned about each and every program within the facility.
Personal training is also very inexpensive, and each trainer has their own specialty besides a lot of education and skill.

I have been taking my Honda to Karco for a few years now. I started taking the Honda there because the Honda dealership would not fix my car, or do the minimal amount of service needed. I never felt like they were ever very honest, once my warranty expired.
Karco has wonderful mechanics. They always call if there is any extra work that may or NEEDS to be done before doing it. They let me know that if I don't have certain services done by a certain time, this this and this will happen. Or if I can wait a few months before taking care of certain things, they will let me know as well. The mechanics that work up front too, they are very nice. They are always very welcoming and again, helpful. I do not feel like I am walking out of a sleazy place. I just feel that they are very honest for a change. I always get my money's worth and my car has never run better.
You have to check these guys out. They specialize in certain types of cars, but check them out. Look for the yellow sign.

I bought my laptop from Best Buy and the first man I dealt with to sell me my laptop was not very nice. Even though they do not work on commission, he seemed upset that I knew exactly what i wanted and did not want to be talked into anything else. Two months later my laptop's hardrive crashed. I was able to purchase another computer as long as it was the same value, or I would have to pay the difference. I spoke with a few other sales guys and they were VERY helpful. They knew what they were talking about, they were not the least bit rude.
During my original trouble with the first laptop, I used the Geek Squad. They were GREAT! Very knowledgeable people, very helpful. If you ever need anything ask them!
The next time I was at Best Buy was to purchase my camcorder. I was helped by 6 different people. Every single person that had helped me was very kind. They all had a bit different input about different products that I was looking at. Two of them took a whole lot of time with me, especially because at this point I was indecisive. They helped me special order the product that I wanted without having to use Best Buy.com.
The best advice that they gave me is that if you order from BestBuy.com, then you cannot use gift cards. You can only use gift cards in the store. But if your product is not at the store, the store can order the product for you, AND you are allowed to use the gift cards. Weird, but true.
I will continue to go back to this store because of the service provided.

I have been going to Therapeutic Kneads for many years now. You must go have a massage. The only time you cannot go is if you are sick. If your allergies are bothering you, I swear, I was cured. One day I went in, and she cleared my sinuses. But for the most part, the atmosphere is wonderful, the people are wonderful. We always tell the woman that gives the massages that she has magic hands. She does. Whether you have tension or not, soon as she puts her hands on you, you muscles listen and relax. She is always booked, so you have to make an appointment way in advanced.
This place is not about funny business. It's a wonderful establishment, very professional, yet very welcoming.
Her partner gives facials and massages. There are more girls working their now that know how to do the facials and massages. This is also a wonderful option. This woman and her team work miracles as well.

Chomp Sushi is a great place to have some fun for all occasions. There are 2-3 teppan grills that you could have friends enjoy. There is a sushi bar in the middle of the restaurant. There is a bar as well, closer to the entrance. The best part is karaoke night. People eat, drink, and sing their hearts out. It's great.
If you drink, you must try Chomp's sake bombs. It's a little bit of sake and beer. If you drink sake, make sure they know if you would like it warm or cold. If you have never seen a sake bomb, or had one, but not the "fun" way, tell the waitress/waiter and have them explain it. It's a lot of fun.
Their food is always very fresh and tasty. It's a great place for parties and just to hang out.

The bread is very delicious. But if you order nothing else, you must, I say MUST order the clam chowder. The clam chowder is out of this world. I have never tasted anything so heavenly. All of their food was very good, but nothing to rave about like the clam chowder.
This could be a good place for a first date, but a little expensive. So if you don't really have the cash, then maybe make it for a special occasion.

I just wrote a review commenting on the wonderful service of the people that work at starbucks. Next door to this starbucks is a subway. This subway, I will drive out of my way, or wait until I get closer to home to buy food from this Subway. The owners are two sisters, at least, they are the only ones I have met. The girls that work there, have been there for almost a year, if not longer. They are all wonderful people, but if you have a chance to talk to the owners, you'll feel like coming right back. They just have a very cheery attitude and are very helpful.
They do not try to make you wait, even when it's the lunch hour and they have 3-4 people making a lunch line to work on the sandwiches. I think that even because of the great attitude of this establishment, the food even tastes better!

I love this starbucks. I used to love it because it is a drive through. That is one perk. It's only a perk when i order something that doesn't need additives, like a mocha light frappuccino. BUT. The great thing about this starbucks are the employees. Everytime I enter the starbucks they are always very polite and very nice. I don't mind speaking with them because they are just THAT nice. I love to go in at all hours of the day to be able to speak with different people, and again, they are all nice. I haven't ever been disappointed with this starbucks as I can be with others. I recommend that if you need a starbucks and you are in the area, stop by. You can't go wrong.

I just love this place. If you would like a wonderful place to experience REAL Japanese ramen, you need to go to Ebisu in FV, CA. This is not the out of the box or package type of noodles. This ramen house is very nice. The room is small, very friendly. There are some booths and tables and chairs. You can see the chefs prepare the food. The ramen broth is made from scratch and is very delicious.
The only reason why it is not perfect is because everything on their menu is not THE BEST. They do not have the best rice dishes.
Every other food i have tried at this restaurant is amazing. Order a miso ramen, shoyu ramen, or the California Ramen (chicken and vegetables). You'll want to eat the entire bowl. Also for a cute twist, order an iced tea. They serve tejava in a bottle, and it will come with a little jar of sweetened water. A great twist.

I like this movie theater because they do allow a student discount and because they are always very nice. A very big plus is that there are not always a lot of small children and teenagers running around during the night peak hours. Their concession stand is fairly clean.
The seats are not stadium seating, but they get the job done. I feel it is worth going here because I do not have a lot of distractions and the traffic of people is very minimal.
It does not feel like the cleanest theater, maybe because it is small and it is an older theater, but again, i would pick this theater over the larger ones because it is quieter and nicer.
