Bamonte's is by far the best Italian food I have had since moving to Brooklyn. The restaurant is located on a side street, snuggled in between houses and not altogether noticeable or enticing if you aren't looking for it.
Dress nicely, as this place follows the old Italian tradition of having heavy curtains, wallpaper, and family photographs along the walls. The waiters wear full suits and the wine list is the size of a short novel.
As far as the food goes, the Gnocchi was delicious, although there was quite a wait to get it. Sodas and such are not fountain, but bottled.
