Secure Termite & Pest Control are very efficient and reasonably priced. They arrived on time (even a bit early) and provided a lot of useful information during the service call, but not a "hard sell." They also offer an affordable seasonable treatment package, including unlimited service calls if you have a specific need. They also didn't insist on coming out for an "inspection" beforehand. They would quote you a price over the phone, not like other places that say they have to come out and base their price on your particular "needs."

Dick Keffer Pontiac is a very large dealer, so I was surprised by the reasonable service I received when I went there for the first time. I was having some kind of problem with the electrical system (the tail lights stayed on after the car was off), but when they ran the diagnostic, they couldn't find anything wrong. The big surprise was that they didn't charge me anything for having performed the diagnostic. I thought that was pretty impressive, so I would definitely recommend Keffer in terms of customer service.

The Mailroom 500 racing collectibles store is truly unique. It is a tiny shop packed with thousands of items of racing memorabilia, most of it related to Indy car racing and the Indianapolis 500, but there are some items from NASCAR and Formula One, too. The owner has been in business for almost 20 years and has a devoted clientele of race fans and collectors who come to him looking for specific items or just something unique. You can also sell items from your own collection, or trade for something that you like in the store.

Tina's Alterations is reasonably priced -- you could probably find somewhere cheaper (you could also find somewhere more expensive) but in my experience, they were always able to get my items back to me quickly, so the slight added cost was worth it. Even though they are very popular, I still found they could turn around alterations within the day, if you request it. Recently moved from the original location on Crawfordsville Rd to new location on West 10th St on the west side.

Gasoline Alley Tune-Up and Auto Service is located in the same area (off Rockville Road, not far from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway) as many race teams and racing suppliers. This auto shop was recommended to me by a long-time Indy car racing mechanic who trusts them to provide good service at a decent price. They don't do everything (they don't replace brakes, for example) but they are very popular, so call in advance to make an appointment.

Georgetown Alterations has been around for years and seems to have a pretty large clientele -- I have used it anytime I don't need something back right away, because the tailor has the best prices I've found and does a nice job. She will probably offer to get your item back to you in about a week unless you specify otherwise. I don't know if she can do "on the spot" alterations, but it is worth asking. The shop is located at 56th and Georgetown, so it is pretty convenient, as well.

The sushi items pass by on a conveyor belt. Good food, decent prices, but not spectacular. Nice if you really enjoy the hibachi experience.
