A few friends and I got a suite at the Clift hotel for my birthday recently, and I was very impressed with the entiriy of the experience. The suite had a living room/dining room shared area, a bedroom, a vanity room and a bathroom. The overall decor was beautiful, soft, sublte colors orange and purple pastles, with mirror table tops. The mattress on the bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The only disappointment was the bathroom, it was small, cramped and not near as lovely as the rest of the room. Definitely order room service, if you go, the food is absolutely amazing!

I have been looking to find a good place to get CDs manufactured in bulk, and I am happy to report that I have finally found one. Recordpressing.com offers CD, tape and vinyl manufacturing at reasonable rates. The staff was all very helpful, and they were able to process my order rather rapidly. I will definitely be a return customer.

I came to this hardware store looking for a really obscure item, a rest for a glass shelf that I couldn't find any where (I looked online, and called a number of different companies). I thought I'd at least try a local hardware store. Even though they didn't have the piece, they were extremely helpful. They took 15 minutes of their time to look for the item in different catalogues, and made a few calls for me. Even though they couldn't get the piece, they were very helpful in offering me resources to find it.

The Thirsty Bear is a great place to grab a drink and a bite after work. They usually have a resident DJ playing house, chill or downtempo beats. The atmosphere is comfortable, warm lighting with tall stool seating throughout the room, and comfortable banquet seating along the walls. The beers are excellent (might I recommend the stout), and they have a great selection of cocktails as well. The food is tasty too, I really enjoyed the vegetable empanadas (although the Tortilla Espanola wasn't so thrilling). The desserts are also excellent. The service is hit or miss, depending on who you get, but you do get taken care of.

This little tattoo shop is very cool. I had a friend who went here and got his first tattoo, and he was very pleased with his artist (a woman who no longer works there). Still all the staff are very friendly, and the artists are very skilled at what they do. They also have an excellent website where you can view each artist and their work. The site is laid out very well, and gives you good examples of their different styles. The detail and color work is amazing.

This place is very cozy little bar. Great atmosphere, very relaxed and casual. The decor is simple, yet hip. There are hanging star lights, which offer the perfect dim lighting for a place like this. It tends to attract a good crowd of neighborhood folk. The drinks are somewhat reasonably priced. But mainly, it's just good place to go grap a drink with some friends if you're not looking to get too spruced up, but still want to hang out somewhere hip. If you're in the neighborhood definitely stop by.

I recently purchased one of their new customer cards, in order to try the classes at this yoga studio. They offer different types of yoga classes at a variety of times throughout the day. If you are first time visitor you can purchase a card for $20, which gets you 3 yoga classes to be redeemed in a month. The studio is very simple and clean. There is plenty of room, and the bathroom are very well kept. Unfortunately, they do not have shower facilities, which is a drawback. However, they did let me store my bike inside while I was intending class. The classes are typically an hour and a half long, and the one Ineygar class I took was the perfect blend of intensity and rejuvenation. They have all the necessary equiptment available, and it is in very good condition. I was impressed with how lifted I felt after my first class, I would definitely recommend this studio to anyone interested in finding a good yoga center. I am definitely looking forward to my next few classes.

This is a very interesting art gallery/office. Apparently, it doubles as both an environmental law firm and an art gallery. The art is always quite diverse. I have seen all types of art displays, from twisted, edgey paintings to provoking sculptures and hodge-podge metal contraptions. Most recently they have a display with very unique displays of fabric and beads that have been soaked in bees wax and given various shapes. Some look like jelly fish turned upsidedown set in a garden of blue pebbles. The aromas from the bees wax are quite enjoyable, even if I am not quite able to grasp the intended message of the art piece itself. Nonetheless, the art is very interesting and it is easy to make an appointment to stop by during the day to view the art. Worth the trip if you're in the area.

I was lead into Daniel's on my search to find a very obscure piece for a glass shelf rest. I had made numerous calls all over, and stopped by some hardware stores, in addition to doing some research online. I finally made my way over to Daniel's to see if they could help me. I showed them the piece, and the old lady took it into the back to see if she could find a match. She told me that unfortunately they did not have any more of these pieces in stock but that she could order it for me if I was looking to order a large quantity. I was very impressed with how considerate and helpful she was, even though she was not able to supply me with the piece. I do intend to return to Daniel's for some display items in the future.

This is a great little book shop to check out if you're in the neighborhood, or just on a lunch break. It isn't big, impersonal and overwhelming like most big book shops are, it is cozy and comfortable. The staff are very helpful and knowledgable, and probably have been working here for a while. I was easily able to find most of the books I was looking for, and even stumbled across a few new books that looked very interesting. The only drawback I found was that their selection was not as extensive as you might find in a larger book shop, which I guess is part of the trade off. Over all, it was nice to find a smaller book shop just off the main retail area of Market St. Definitely give it a try!
