Tower Records is a good place to buy books and CDs without the manufactured atmosphere of most other stores. But, the thing I liked the most about Tower Records is the accompanying restaurant next to the Tower Theatre near Downtown Sacramento. Their cake is wonderful and delicious for a reasonable price! The Tower Theatre is also a historic landmark in Sacramento.

I have browsed through this place several times whenever I come home from Southern California. The clothing selection is very cute as the name of the store states, but the prices are rather steep for the quality of the clothes. You can get designer duds elsewhere for much cheaper. Plus, there always seems to be a predominant amount of pink in the store. It is very hard to find conservative clothing as this store tends to carry more daring and racy articles.

Whenever I feel the urge to make massive amounts of copies for my literature classes, I come to The UPS Store. Since I am your average thrifty college student, I use my Student Dollar Stretcher coupon book to take advantage of The UPS Store's $0.03 per copy deal. All in all, a great office supplies place.

I've been to Sam Woo several times with friends and once with my fellowship group. There is a good selection of Chinese food, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable. For example, I ordered my favorite BBQ Pork and Chow Fun in soup last Friday and it was only $3.95 for a big bowl. Although the soup base was very salty, the pork slices were generous and there was a good amount of chow fun. A good place to grab some basic Chinese fare.

I've been to the Living Room twice. It's a cozy enough of a place but I can't see anything that special about it. The cake selection looks okay, but it is nothing spectacular. The second time I went to the Living Room, I ordered a ham sandwich that came with a small bag of Lay's chips. It was rather pricy considering the small portions. I wouldn't go here again.

I recently found a great job through UCSD's Career Services Port Triton job listings. Besides part-time positions, you can also search for full-time career positions, internships, volunteer opportunities, and even temporary work. Listings are usually added daily and all the neccessary contact information and requirements for the job are posted clearly in each listing.

I really liked this place because as a girl who grew up in the country, I have a profound appreciation for wildlife and nature in general. There are exhibitions all year round on such diverse subjects as wildlife, fossils, insects, fruit flies and DNA, and even chocolate. A must see for all people visiting San Diego.

Since I live near the UCSD campus, most of the stuff I buy are rather expensive, especially the surrounding supermarkets. Sav-On is pretty good for having slightly cheaper prices for the same goods. I recently developed pictures onto a Kodak Picture CD here. The price came out to be around $6.50 (including a coupon I had from Student Dollar Stretcher), but the service was rather poor. The sales girl was unfriendly and not helpful at all. Point: Don't get your pictures developed here.

Whenever I have literature/humanities courses, I have to go to this place to buy my readers. Prices are average for the most part. If you're an UCSD student and you have the Student Dollar Stretcher coupon booklet, you should definitely check out Cal Copy's coupons. Sometimes, they have a deal where you can make copies for only $0.035 per page which is the best deal I have ever found in San Diego.

For my 21st birthday, I attended a play called Private Fittings at the Potiker Theatre (the newest addition to the La Jolla Playhouse.) All I can say is that it was spectacular. The sets were wonderful and I loved watching the revolving walls and the retractable stage floors. Plus, the theater wasn't too big so it created a more cozy type of environment where it made it possible for everybody to see the stage and the actors very clearly.
