I have had a positive experience with Children's Orchard so far. The selection is great for both girl and boy. I found several onesies for $1.99 or less. They run several different sales a month (extra 25 and even 50% off original price). The clothes seem to be of good quality. I did notice they don't have much of a selection (if any at all) of other baby items such as strollers, cribs, etc. Check it out!

I have shopped at Once Upon a Child several times for my then 2 year old son, and the selection for boys was very limited. The infant/toddler girls selection was pretty good. As for the bigger items such as strollers and other baby items, the prices seemed to be very reasonable.
I tried several times to sell my son's clothes and toys to them only to be turned down. Even Gymboree brands they turned down (no stains or defects on the clothing). The staff made me feel that my things weren't good enough for their store. Haven't gone there in a couple of years and really don't plan to.

I started going to Haircuts in Style when my usual stylist started working there (ask for James - he is awesome!) The prices are $14 for an adult cut - not counting the wash and blow dry. Better to wash your hair before you go and blow dry it when you get home if you aren't planning on going out afterward. Otherwise the price is $19.
Children's cuts are $12 (and I believe it is for men too). I have taken my son there about 3 or 4 times to get his hair cut and only about 1/2 the time I liked the way they cut it. Otherwise the salon is kid friendly - toys for them to play with and a tv to watch.
As for highlights, perms, and the other miscellaneous services (think they offer waxing service too), the prices are pretty average. I don't think I would go there unless my stylist was there.

My 4 year old son has been attending this daycare since he was 5 months old. Overall, it has been a descent daycare facility. The staff is very friendly, the price includes meals for children 2 years and up, and the hours are 7 am - 6:00 pm M-F.
They also have an after school program which, in some cases, will pick up your child from surrounding schools and take them to the daycare facility until you can pick them up after work.
The only complaints I can see is the employee turnover rate for some of the classes. My son is on his third preschool teacher for the past year.

A friend recommended this restaurant, and we eat here just about every time we go to San Antonio. Great food & reasonable prices & portions. What impresses me the most is that even the refried beans are homemade - not from the can like most other mexican food restaurants. Definitely a place to try out next time you are in the area.

I have had a positive experience with this clinic so far. Aside from the friendly staff, and great service (no waiting for more than 15 minutes), there is an after hours clinic open until 8:00 pm 7 days a week at the Far West clinic, and nurses available to answer questions 24 hours a day by phone. Really helps when you are a first time parent and are constantly needing answers about your baby.
Our whole family has their own primary care physician at this clinic. The pediatricians are outstanding - haven't met one I didn't like. There is, however, one doctor that I was not impressed with (Dr Merryman), but you will always have one in the bunch that you won't care for.
The only thing that I am unimpressed with is not being able to make a next day appointment. I have called several times to try and make an appointment for the next day, only to be turned down because most of their time slots are for same day appointments. That means you get to wait on hold the next morning for 10 minutes.
Overall, I would highly recommend this clinic.

If you are looking for a new church home, this is the place to go.
They have a wonderful children's and youth ministry. My four year old son looks forward to going every Sunday, as well as my husband and I. They have a great adult ministry and well as a ministry for the older (but wiser!) people.
There are also outreach programs on Tuesday nights, Bible study and music opportunities on Wednesdays, and AWANA programs that are due to begin in September.
Great music and great sermons every week - what more could you ask for?
Come see for yourself.
