The Getty Museum is located on top of the mountain overlooking Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
The museum has numerous galleries in this architecturally innovative museum. It has an outside garden that is very beautiful in the summer, not so much in the wintertime though. There is no parking up at the Getty, you need to catch a shuttle at the bottom of the hill.
A visit to the Getty is recommended for tourists and vistors to Los Angeles. We tend to here yearly to check out exhibits. I would recommend to all from kids to adults.

Mountain High Ski Resort is located in Wrightwood, CA. Mountain High like the other ski resorts in Southern California offers average skiing and snowboarding. The runs and slopes offers challenges for the beginning and intermediate skiiers and snowboarders. Most years the snow is not that plentiful so most of the white stuff you see is manmade. But at least we have somewhere to go for the skiing and snowboarding.
Just like the other snow resorts in Southern California, I would recommend this site for beginner and intermediate skiiers and snowboarders.

Lucky Strike Bowling is located in the Hollywood and Highland complex. The decor has a modern art deco feel and look. The bowling alley is open for everyone to kids until about 7pm and then it becomes an alley for just adults. The atmosphere is fun, the music is blaring.
It's a cool place to go to and hang out but the downside is that it is expensive. They charge about $10/per person per game or you can play the flat fee for an hour. Luckily there is parking in the complex and that is pretty reasonable. I would recommend this place for a night of hanging out with your friends and buddies.

Mammoth Mountain in Mammoth Lakes, CA is the best ski resort in California. They have different runs for all types of skiiers and snowboarders from the bunny slopes (more than one to choose from) to the black diamond runs (with the gondola ride to the top).
For a one day all access pass, you can go up the Canyon Lodge side and come down the other side and take a shuttle back to Canyon Lodge. You have access to the entire mountain, not just a side of it.
Mammoth Mountain ski lodge is located on a dormant volcano and they have the best and most snow. I would recommend this a fun weekend of skiing for all.

The slopes and runs are a little more difficult than the resorts at the bottom. Because it is located in Southern California, we don't always get the best snow and really any snow. Therefore, most of the snow is manmade and during the bad seasons, there are tons of dirt spots on the mountain. But they do make sure that there is snow on the runs.
I would recommend this resort for the beginner/ immediate skiiers and snowboarders.

Most of the time, there is not enough snow since it is at the bottom and the snow is man made. I remembered I preferred it because I had just learned how to ski and it was a "safer" option than the other resorts higher up the mountain.
The runs were not that difficult and this resort is ideal for the beginner ski or snowboarder. So, I would recommend for the beginners. I would also check the snow forcast before heading out otherwise, you'll be skiing in dirt.

Puzzle Zoo carries lots of toys: stuffed animals, vinyl figures, board games and of course, puzzles. They also sometimes carry collectible items which are normally located in the glass cabinets or behind the register. Collectibe items being Nightmare before Christmas Jack coffin figures, some Marvel comic busts, etc.
It is located right on 3rd street promenade and gets a lot of foot traffic. It's a fun place to check out when you are down on the promenade.

I loved going to UCLA for my undergraduate studies. The campus is huge and very pretty.
People always complain that the school was so impersonal with classes that contained over 200 students. Those classes were the general ed/weed out courses, once you decide on your major, you are in classes with much less people and you do get the personal attention you need.
There was so many opportunities at UCLA and I do regret not utilizing their services more. College life was great and educational as well. I was not ready to leave the school but heck, you can not stay in college forever, right?
If you could get in since average gpa is 4.3, I suggest going here.

1849 Condominimums is located up the hill and around the corner from the Canyon Lodge lift at Mammoth Mountain. The condos available are either 2, 3 or 4 bedroms. They have two condo phases: I and II. Phase I on located on the street side of Lakeview St and has underground parking.
Each condo is decorated different as they are owned by different owners. When I book I always ask for the newer condos or condos that I have stayed in before. I usually book a couple of months in advance. The condo staff is helpful and courteous. Every winter they have the best apple cider around.

The are a tad bit on the expensive side, but they occasionally have sales that cuts the price in half which makes them regular prices for most other cards shops. Party On La Cienega also offers professional wedding invitation printing and well as custom gift wrapping for all occasions. This price is pretty nifty and we go here to get ideas about the special cards and invitations. It's not your regular Hallmark store, it's nicer.
