“New Low Brow Gallery ”

This review is for: Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery

BFSA just opened in April with their Group Show featuring works by some of the hottest low brow artists out there: Gary Baseman, Tim Biskup, Dave Cooper, Glenn Barr, Liz McGrath, Shag, etc. They continued their spectular opening with solo shows from Gary Baseman, then Tim Biskup and then Dave Cooper. This gallery also holds book and toy signings as well as art lectures. Annie, the curator, is helpful and courteous. Billy Shire himself is unassuming for a man that gave the low brow art movement its start and helped many of its artists shine. The gallery is open from Wednesday to Sunday or call for hours of operation. The current artist exhibition is from Dave Cooper who we absolutely love.
