Off the Record has a lot of music by independent artists, from small-label rock and punk bands to hip-hop.

The San Diego Ice Arena is a great place for all ages. There is always people there because it is located within a shopping center. They offer skating classes for kids there. Hockey matches are also held there. At certain time, the rink is also closed down for broomball. I've never actually tried it myself because it is very expensive, to reserve the rink, it is $250 an hour but I heard that it is a lot of fun.

i like going to Ulta because they have a wide range of beauty product to choose from. It's like a drug store slash Sephora where you can by shampoo, face wash, body wash and even designer perfume, make up, etc. They also have a good selection of beauty appliance. There is also a hair salon inside the store. I've never had a haircut there, but I've her that it is pretty good and not expensive either.

I like dropping by the $1.25 Store just to see what kind of stuff they have for really cheap. They have everything there. Party favors, jewlery, household items, food, kitchen supplies even DVDs. It's great. One thing that I don't like though is that this place has a weird smell. I can't explain it, but I guess it's not so bad. You'll get use to it once you walk around for a while.

I really like going to this little bead store located in downtown san mateo. They have a wide assortment of beads and other accessories to make jeweleries. The lady who owns the store is also very nice which also makes the visit pleasant. When ever I need beads to make bracelets, I would go here.

This comic book store sells many popular comics. Some of their collection dates back to the 1930s, they even have collectors issues. Not only do they sell comic books; they also sell graphic novels, alternative comics and Japanese comics. The only bad thing about this place is it's location. It's really hard to find parking there because this store is located on a very busy street.

The reason why this place is bad is because of the people who work there. The people who work there are awfully rude, which makes the the whole experience very unplesant. This is probably the most beautiful library in the bay area. Sure there are librarys with a great modern atmosphere, internet, computer.. etc. This library has these vacilities, but the most amazing thing about this library is the structure itself. I love the beautiful old style building. It makes it a great place to just sit around in the afternoon, relaxing and reading a good book.

I use to not like to shop at Hillsdale because there was nothing there that interest me. But now that there are so many new stores there, I love going there. This is now a place for all ages. Even kids will like it. There is a lego store and a build a bear store there. Of course, there are also four major department stores there whihc makes this a very convenient place to shop.
