The Cable Car is a nice alternative theatre with a quaint setting. There are couches on one half and typical theatre seating on the other. It fits in great with the artsiness and local character of downtown Providence.
Cable Car typically shows foreign and independent films. Occasionally, there are free showings, events, and guests such as producers and directors. Right outside the Cable Car is also a small cafe with seating outside.
