Located on the Northside next to the historic Alabama Theater, the McWane Center is a great place to spend your day. You can play with the educational and scientific gadgets that they have set up, you can watch an IMAX movie, or you can catch them at any given month with a special exhibit (the Titanic exhibit was great!). The prices vary, depending on if you're traveling with a large group. Don't buy lunch in the cafe, however, it's so expensive! But this is a great place, for the young and old.
