Luna Park is a great, casual place to for dinner and drinks. It is fairly popular so make reservations or you'll end up waiting. It can be noisy so I recommend going early. The smores dessert is delish. The mojitos are good and pretty strong. The cobb salad is good for lunch, but you may want something heartier for dinner. The tuna appetizer is delish -- so is the skirt steak.

From the outside, this place looks cute, comfy, and hip. I've had a mani/pedi as well as an eyebrow wax here and the service is TERRIBLE. The waxer showed up 20 minutes late and offered no apology. The woman ringing me up after my appt. was clueless. My manicure/pedicure experience was a little bit better, but with all the options I have in San Francisco, I won't go back to Lush Life again.

This place is great for a quick mani/pedi or waxing. Very friendly service and clean. You never have to wait more than 15 minutes and they have a good selection of magazines. There is a parking lot behind the salon (enter on Stanyan) if you need it. If you forget cash (they don't take checks) there is an ATM in the laundrymat right next door.

This ice cream shop is family run. The ice cream is homemade and delicious. The frozen yogurt is average. Stick with the ice cream. They also have food (hot dogs and sandwiches). I've never tried the food. Very friendly service. Try the JoesIT (spin off of the It'sIT" which is vanilla ice cream sandwiched between 2 oatmeal cookies. Then, they dunk it in chocolate. They have some funky flavors such as Thai Tea.

International Orange is a great day spa that also offers yoga classes. The spa is beautiful and meticulous. The treatments are great. I love the Ashtanga classes. They usually have background music which is pretty good. They sell some yoga clothes and beauty products which is beautifully displayed. I've heard the massages and facials are great.

The Bar Method is an exercise system that creates a uniquely lean, firm, sculpted body by reshaping and elongating muscles while maintaining an intense pace that burns fat and increases stamina. This one hour class works all your muscles and you get great results if you commit to 3 times per week. The studio is beautiful and the locker rooms are fairly luxurious.

Cozy is the best word to describe Chapeau. You get the feeling it is very "neighborhoody" when you walk in. The owner comes by your table to check in which is great. They have a prixe fixe meal that runs on the earlier side. It gets pretty busy. Food is delicious and great wine list. Although this restaurant is somewhat romantic, you can definitely hear the conversations of everyone around you due to close tables.

This restaurant in the Richmond sometimes makes one feel like they aren't in SF. This place is classic -- no fancy food presentation or fancy lettuce in the salad. Just good, standard, food. Nothing controversial. Good selection of chicken, fish, and steak. Several pasta dishes are available as well. Desserts are good -- try the key lime pie or the bread pudding. They have a full bar.

Aperto is a cozy neighborhood Italian restaurant in Portrero Hill. Excellent pasta dishes as well as fish and chicken. They have a good wine list but don't serve hard alcohol. I haven't been there in years, but I remember the food being really good. The service was fine and it is pretty easy to park. Good for a first date.
