Citikids is great for all your baby needs. They are located in the inner Richmond and even have a parking lot in front. They carry everything from nursing supplies, infant clothing to high end strollers and cribs. They have a great toy selection and I've found the clothing to be pretty well made. The people who work there are really nice and know their stuff.

The Tower Car wash does may be the best place to get your car washed in San Francisco. I think they do a quality job. However, I've had to wait 20 minutes on some days even when they are not busy....
The Tower Car wash does may be the best place to get your car washed in San Francisco. I think they do a quality job. However, I've had to wait 20 minutes on some days even when they are not busy. One time my car was ready but they never alerted me. There is an outside bench to wait and then there is a snack shop and a TV inside. Service is pretty good.

This car wash does a pretty good job cleaning cars, but there are other perks to the Divisidero Car Wash. They have a small gift shop that actually has great cards and gifts for people and pets. It isn't just junk -- they really have some good buys. The service there is good and you are in and out in 15 minutes. They run the place very smoothly and there is a gas station there as well.

The Balboa is a small, independent theater that shows interesting movies. This theater was built in 1926. They sell discount cards -- 5 movies for $30 bucks which is a good deal. Students get a discount as well as senior citizens. There are great restaurants and cafes within walking distance of the Balboa. Try Bill's Place for a burger and milkshake after the show.

This alternative movie theater on Clement Street is a great place to see foreign films, obscure films, or a film you didn't get a chance to see at a bigger theater. This is an independently owned theater that shows alternative world cinema. They often have series and festivals so check out the website. It is a pretty small place and a great place to see matinées (especially if you don't want to run into anyone you know).

This is one of the best bookstores in SF. They are located on a great part of Clement Street. They've been around almost 40 years. The folks who work there are very helpful and knowledgeable. They buy, sell, and trade new and used books, CDs, and DVDs. They are open every day and and into the evening. If you are walking on Clement Street, you have to check this great bookstore out.

The Warfield is not located in a great neighborhood. It is right on Market street -- the seedy part. Regardless, this is a great place to go see live music when in SF. I'm pretty sure it is the largest venue in SF. You can get floor seats (downstairs) or go upstairs to the balcony. I think balcony seats are cheaper. If you are pregnant but need your music fix, you can call ahead and reserve a table.

Formerly known as The League, this Alamo Square locale is a great place to see live music. The best thing to do is to go to their website and get on the mailing list so you know what music is coming to town. The Independent doesn't serve food -- only drinks. When it gets crowded you may have to wait a while for a drink. Get tickets in advance, a lot of shows sell out because this place isn't too huge.

This club opened up over a year ago in the Mission. There really wasn't a great place to see music in this part of town until now. 12 Galaxies brings in all kinds of music. I've seen some great shows here but I've also seen some very random shows here. The website is good and you can check out a calendar. The serve food, but no one comes for the food. Drinks are strong -- especially if you know the bartending. Parking is relatively easy in this part of the Mission. Not the greatest area to be walking around alone at night.

The "GA" as some locals like to call it does serve food, but no one comes for the food. This is a place to see music. They have all different kinds of music -- a really good variety. This is a great place to meet up with friends. They have tables where you can sit down but you'd need to get there early.
