For a taste of local history the San Mateo County History Museum offers local exhibits which highlight the rich and varied history of San Mateo County. The museum is housed in the beautiful historical County Courthouse which in itself is worth the visit. Admission is inexpensive, and there’s even a discount rate available for students.
