This has to be one of the worst places I've ever eaten at. Maybe I had to high of expectations to start with but I left there hungry and felt totally ripped off. The wait upon getting there was close to an hour, with reservations. The portions were VERY small. The "chef" was NOT entertaining. The cleanliness of the restaurant was bad by my standards. The prices....horribly high. Enough said.

This is the only restaurant in Chinatown that I'll bother to go to anymore. The prices can't be beat and the food is just outstanding. I'm a big fan of the soup bowls that they have, for around $6.00 you can get a huge bowl of wonton soup loaded to the top and a ton of bbq pork to boot, that and an order of egg rolls and your good to go. I definitely recommend this one.

Considering Chicago is well known for its pizza and there is a pizza place on every block, ok maybe not EVERY block, but close to it, I think their pizza is way over rated and way over priced. Not saying I wouldn't eat here as I do like the atmosphere but would not go out of my way for it either. All of the other foods were way over priced as well. Give me a Home Run Inn pizza any day!

In all honesty all I've ever eaten here are the appetizers but they are worth the trip alone! Go with a group and order up, there is enough for everyone to get a good taste. They have always been really nice about doing this also...but considering every appetizer costs around $8 - $10 dollars they really shouldn't complain. Be prepared to drop some bucks here, as they are not cheap....but worth is for a splurge!

Neat place to take out of towner's to if your in the area, but to go on a regular basis, no, parking is impossible unless you want to valet for $20, wait for an hour in the bar area and drink VERY expensive drinks (your elbow to elbow in this area). All in all the food is pretty good tho and you will be entertained. Make sure to order the "wets"...fries with gravy...it's a meal in its self for me. Food is pricey but as I said worth going to at least once.

Lawrence's has been around for years and years and of course with good reason, they have the greatest deep fried seafood carryouts around. They are open 24 hours and usually crowded all the time. I love the shrimp but like that you can order everything there by the half pound or less which lets you try other things reasonably. The breading is so good just the plain breaded whitefish chunks have become one of my favorites. Their sauces are very good, you can go from mild to killer!

I've never had a pizza from here but breaded steak sandwiches? The original and almost the best. If you've never had a breaded steak sandwich let this be your first experience here. If you have a large appetite go for the full....heck, go for the full anyway cause once you taste it you'll want more. They are just out of this world. Personally I get my red sauce on the side as I prefer to dip my sandwich. Jam packed at lunch time, but they have it down to an art so the line goes pretty quick.

This place is just not to my liking. I found the food to be very overpriced and just not that great. The staff was obviously not there to please the public. I think they need to do away with the restaurant part and stick to the bar. The bar area is HUGE, probably the largest I've seen on the southwest side of the city. Afternoons you'll find a lot of tradesmen there and in the evenings a lot of drunk younger folks.

Not a thing has changed here, the rainbow cones have remained the same after MANY years and there is a good reason for that, they are the best cones around! They have added more variety to their menu (all good) but you will see 90% with the rainbow cones. People in line are interesting to talk to also as most have been coming here for generations!

Palermo's has been around for years. The original which of course was the best was on 63rd Street years ago. I prefer their other foods here as I'm not a lover of a sweeter sauce on pizza. I do love their beef sandwiches tho. My family does love their pizza tho, my son makes it a point to go their whenever he is home from school.
