Lake Elizabeth is a fun place for both kids and adults. The lake is in the middle of the park. There are also tennis courts, several playgrounds, picnic tables and BBQs, and a trail that goes around the lake. I’ve seen people with fishing poles out, but I don’t know if they ever caught anything.

This fish store has very nice displays. There are several large salt-water tanks as well as fresh water fish. The prices here are a bit on the expensive side, so I primarily come to admire the fish. My favorite part of the store is the shallow pool with the rays; these guys are about the size of a pancake and glide through the water. Very cool.

Be prepared for a very long wait – you can occupy yourself by admiring the art on the walls (all featuring Zachary’s) or stare at your neighbors while they enjoy a yummy slice of Zachary’s pizza.

A simple building made up of whitewashed walls and timber, the Mission is a Fremont landmark. Enter thru the gift shop, where you can buy postcards of Fremont. The next part of the building is a museum display, including Native American and early Spanish artifacts recovered from nearby areas. Services are still held in the chapel, which has a peaked ceiling. There is also a cemetery where you can walk around and look at tombstones.
