Really a nice zoo. The roads are easy to walk and there are plenty of animals to see. I remember seeing polar bears, monkeys, snakes, bats, birds, and etc. Like others have mentioned navigating around the zoo can be confusing. There usually isn't a tour guide person around the roads that can direct you, so you sort have to find your way around. The best part of the zoo was the ride. I'm not sure what it is called technically, but its a ride in the air that sorta makes it way around the zoo so you can see the view up on top. It was really nice, except that I was afraid of heights. I'm not sure how much admission was, but I think on Wednesday they still offer free admission. Nice zoo and nice place to spend with the family.

I remember going to this museaum since I was a kid in school. Every now and then I still would visit the museum whether for school projects or leisure. It's a great way to spend time with the children or even with your friends during a rainy and cold day or when you just run out of ideas. You really can learn a lot from the displays such as culture, animals, climate, dinosaurs, and etc. The best part of the museum for me was the planeterium. I love it!
Price for admittance is what you suggest. I believe students receive discounts? I'm not sure. Either way it is a great way to spend your day. Speaking of which it makes me want to go back there tomorrow with my little cousin.

If you like bargain hunting and love a good deal this place is for you especially for those who like designer jeans, handbags, and shoes. The shoes dept is pretty clean and organize. The handbag dept is a zoo especially during peak hours. You have to learn to navigate and push your way through. For jeans and designer clothing you have to go through racks to find what you are looking for.
A good place to shop overall for both the gals and guys.

I've been coming to this florist for 10 years. The flowers are fresh and nicely cut. In addition the staff are wonderful. Always friendly and offering suggestions to make the flower arrangements perfect. My mom is never disappointed when receiving their flowers. In fact I always get complements on the flowers as I carry it back to my house. People always ask me where I get the arrangements from. I really recommend getting roses from here. It cost about 4.50 a stem, but the quality speaks for itself.

It even offers free fresh garlic to top on the pizza. This is a plus for garlic lovers. The crust is just right I think they still use the old brick oven or something. i order just the regular style pizza, but they offer pizzas such as clam. Lines can be long often out to the store, but it is a gem.

Although the restaurant name says Yummy Noodles, most customers come into the restaurant for their yummy pot rice aka casseroles. I usually order the chicken and mushroom rice casserole. The only downside is that it takes about 20-30 min to make the casserole especially if you order the rice casseroles because it takes time to cook the rice and such. I would suggest ordering an appetizer or something small while you wait for your food. For those who are daring and like to eat frogs this place has it as well.
Service is minimal and it may be hard to flag someone down since it can get really busy especially during lunch and dinner times. The good side is that you can call and order take out and you can even keep the pot that comes with the casserole!!

One of the best noodle soup restaurant around New York City. On the plus side it's even open late at night for the night birds. It serves roast pork, roast duck, fish ball, seafood noodle soup, and etc. Although known for its noodles customers can also order rice dishes as well. The only downside may be the service. Especially for those who are use to service staff coming by every now and then to make sure everything is going okay, be prepared for just minimal service and be patient. However to make up for the lack of service the food is great, CHEAP, and filling. Can't go wrong with that!

This little store front specializes in only Vietnamese sandwiches. It used to be located near E. Broadway under the bridge but moved to Mott Street. I use to think all Vietnamese sandwiches were the same but this place was yummy!!! I took my sister's advice and bought myself some of the sandwiches and whoa it was delicious.
This place seriously is like a sandwich nazi. It is closed on Monday and the lady who works and makes the sandwiches only makes certain amounts. So if it is sold out she will not make anymore. I think she even closes early at 3pm. So that goes to show how busy and great the sandwiches are. The price of the sandwich may be more expensive than others you may find in the city costing about 5 bucks, but the way she makes is so gooooood. From word of mouth I hear that you can even pre order the sandwiches. For those who don't know "Bahn Mi" means Vietnamese sandwich.
