Lee Lee is located on Pell Street where most Chinese hair salons are situated. I usually don't goto the same hair salon or stylist, but I've been going to Lee Lee for the past couple of years for hair cuts and highlights. For long hair, hair cuts plus highlights I got charged about 60 dollars which isn't too bad. The end results of the highlights came out to what I wanted. I have full head of hair so they spent a lot of time on me which I felt bad, but they were very patient and nice. The only thing that I don't like about is that they try to push hair products on you especially the person who washes your hair. So be prepared to say no firmly if you don't want the products.
For regular haircuts with hair washing it cost about 26 for longer hair. The stylists go with what the customers ask for and gives their inputs to make the style better which is a plus.
Another thing about the salon is that the stylists were all females wearing some low cut clothes. If it bothers you, you may not want to go here.

This store is for those who love to drink or buying a gift for someone who loves to drink. It has a large selection of alcohol, from hard liquor, wines, cocktails, and mixes. It's a great place to buy a gift for housewarming or finding a wine to celebrate that special occasion. I always come here to buy Rum, Whiskey, and Vodka to mix drinks for parties. The price is a little pricey but selection here is large. The staff are always friendly and helpful when I had questions on mixtures and what wines would suit my taste.

Prince Furniture has a pretty large store front and inside the furniture is no different. It sells plenty of furniture from sofas, beds, mattresses, dressers, tables, and futons. The prices of the items are average and the designs although not my style may be suited for the older crowds. The staff are pretty friendly and helpful. The style of the furnitures can be revamped though.

Nice store that specializes in meat. Whether you are buying cold cuts, steak, beef, pork, and lamb this store is for you. It sells fresh meat great for BBQ or if you are looking to make steak dinner this place has one of the freshest cut steak. The price may be expensive to what you can get in a supermarket but the quality is the difference. It is fresh and selection of the meat is superb. I would recommend getting your steak and cold cuts here.

You can find a lot of good items in these store especially clothing and house items. Recently they just updated their apparel with designer brands. I was skeptical at first, because Telco never carried named brands and I didn't want to buy fake items. However me and my sister did some "investigating" and the clothing is original. The only down side is that the clothing is usually a season or year old, but the price is a bargain. They carry Lacoste Polo Shirts for 30 dollars compared to 72 dollars in the market. They also have Juicy, Express, Abercrombie, and etc. Selection and sizes may be limited.
House items are a find as well. Carrying vases, sheets, towels, and decorations. There's not much navigation room in the store and the staff can be lukewarm.

A nice local video rental store that opened couple of years ago in the neighborhood. I was so excited because there was no rental stores in the area at the time. The store is kind of small with 2 floors. I believe the second floor is for adult entertainment while the first floor has new and old releases and video games. The selection is up to date, although they don't carry the movie in excess quantity like Blockbuster or Hollywood Video. Also it may hard to find the movie, but the staff is really helpful.
They offer 2 different rental rates. A 2 day rental rate of 3.00 dollars and a weekly rental rate of 5.00 dollars which is cheaper than most rental stores. When I opened up a membership account with Video Rental I got charged a membership fee which was about $4 (years ago). I'm not sure do they still charge a fee or their current price of membership.

The bowling ally is nothing special and it may appear to be a little old inside. At least the score machines are computerized. They do offer cosmic bowling. However, there is not much food served inside. Many items are from vending machines. Good for those looking for a cheap place to bowl.

I went to this store for both hair and mani/pedi cure for my sister's wedding. The store is pretty big however the inside decor I wouldn't say is fabulous or anything. Just regular. The staff were really nice. They did not try to force anything on you and actually listened to what you want with your hair. They gave suggestions tried to work around with what you want to make your hair nice and pretty.
The whole bridal party got their hair done at this store. It cost about 35 bucks per head which isn't really bad at all. Some places quoted for 400 bucks! They were even willing to help us at 5am on the day of the wedding. We didn't get haircuts, but for styling it was great and what we wanted. The hair stayed put for hours in the wedding.

Located near NYU and the Village, Sunrise Mart is a small market that specializes in selling Japanese food and groceries. The location may be hard to find as you have to take an elevator to go up to the store, but once you get off it's just right there. The store sells different Japanese snacks, frozen goods, noodles, chips, sauces, plates, and even sushi. Prices of items are a bit expensive as most Japanese foods can be. It contains food and snacks not typically sold in Chinese Markets so if you like venturing new food and like Japanese food, you may want to check out Sunrise Mart.
