Well this is one hard restaurant to review. I really want to like it. Its in a neat little corner location, the inside looks really great, with murals on the walls, the place serves a lot of different dishes....but its just not my favorite. Things seem too prepared. Everything seems a little americanized, a little less true to form than it should be. There are sauces on things which usually don't need any, lots of different salads which I've never really liked. All in all its good food, but its just not my kind of Hawaiian place.

Forget King's Hawaiian. Forget the Loft, Back home, even forget Island Grinds. Before all of those there was Bruddah's. Words alone can't explain this place, you have to try it for yourself. You enter and seat yourself, choose from a menu full of Hawaiian food, or look at the white board for today's specials. Try anything, its all good, and as always, order the iced tea. Other places might be cleaner, nicer, and more upscale, but there's only one Bruddah's. Delivery within a one mile radius/min. 4 orders.

La Capilla is a little, dimly lit place located in old town Torrance which seems to win "best Mexican restaurant" every year it tries. Try their food and you'll know why. Not only is their authentic Mexican cuisine great tasting, but its easy on the wallet. Each day there is a special priced between $4.50 and $6. This includes freshly made chips, salsa, tortilla soup and a combination plate with beans, rice and one or two items. Add to this a menu which is extensive, a full bar, and friendly staff and you'll never go anywhere else for sit down Mexican food.
