Dali, pretty close to Harvard, is good pick for getting together with a couple of friends for dinner. Their tapas and sangria are good (though I would not say excellent), and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is pretty cozy, and you can order a drink at the bar if you have to wait to be seated. I definitely wouldn't mind going again.

I agree with Dave. During our 3 years in SF, Kitaro was the one place we would regularly drive to across the city to load up on their godzilla and mexican rolls. However, after a year away from the city, we decided to try Kitaro again and this time it wasn't so great. It is possible it was just a fluke experience, but given that they also had newly made menus, there may have been a change in management or something. Everything on our plate was just average and not as chilled and fresh-tasting as you want you sushi to be. If we weren't leaving the city again, I'd definitely give it another try, but would be a bit wary.
