tasty crepes - leave room for dessert!

Right in downtown Fremont, Bouchee specializes in crepes, both sweet and savory, but also serves up very yummy appetizers, soups and salads. The meats plate is a great appetizer choice. I’ve tried several different crepes now and all were great. However, they are a slightly different style then you may be used to: instead of the soft, folded in half or quarters crepes, these come rolled up like a wrap and are slightly drier/harder. This doesn’t make them any less good though. The stand-out dessert is the apple and brie crepe – unusual but very tasty. The only dissappointing thing on the menu is the crème brulee, which does not taste as fine and fresh as it should. Prices…I think they’re about $12-15 per dinner crepe plate. Ambiance…very warm (dark red walls), quite romantic, yet casual. It’s a nice place for a date of a budget as the prices are not too high, yet the place has a nice feel. There is also a corner in the back with a couch and a wine facts game where you can have a drink before dinner.
