If you're uncertain about what camera might be right for you or even what camera equipment you might require for your present camera, the Camera Exchange is the place to start. The employees are very helpful and knowledgable but most importantly do not try and oversell you. The Camera Exchange will also buy your old camera or equipment for either cash or store credit. Lots of selection in both cameras and accessories.

The boat ride along the River Walk is good way to pick up some San Antonio trivia to delight and bore your traveling companions and most of the drivers are knowledgeable and personable. However the River "cruises" tend to be quite hot in the sweltering San Antonio heat so I recommend this activity during the evening when the river is beautifully lit or early in the day. You can purchase tickets along the River Walk or at the River Center Mall.

A friend from the Northeast said this is the best pizza she's had in San Antonio. DoubleDave's offers a buffet for lunch or dinner, over 20 different beers on tap and at least as many varieties chilled in bottles. Their speciality is the Peproni Rolls, which is pepperoni wrapped in pizza dough. They offer a good variety of pizza's on the buffet as well. The staff is helpful and polite.

Is available at this clay and pottery supplies store. The store is located close to downtown and has the best prices on pottery supplies in San Antonio. They have a great selection of clays and glazes and other supplies and are willing to special order. They also sell pottery wheels and have display models so you can test them for comfort. They have a limited amount of kilns on display as well but are more than willing to special order. The staff is pleasant and very helpful and will help you load your clay into your car.

This indoor play area offers lots of climbing toys for children; it’s like an indoor playground. There is a play area for children under three and lots of play houses for imaginative play. As well they have a 3 hole putt-putt course and a basketball area. The price is $5 per child and there is a 3 month pass available for $40 for the first child and reduced prices on subsequent children.

The Austin Children's museum has some interesting exhibits but is not as interactive as I like Children's Museums to be. It tends to be loud and overrun with school groups during the day. The staff is helpful and courteous but this isn't a very extensive or interactive museum. The parking situation is confusing and could be better planned.

but not very baby friendly. There is a spot for babies and little ones (under 4) to play however staff and parents do not monitor the older children so its not really safe. This museum tends to be loud and while there are some interesting exhibits, it is a disappointing children's museum. Parking is also hard to find with the museum being in downtown San Antonio and you will have to pay for parking. For children I recommend the Witte over this museum.
