I was doing business with Brownie's for a few years. At the beginning of the Summer crabs were expensive. They were running $45 for three dozen live male crabs. I did not care because I love steamed crabs. I steam my own because of an allergy to rock salt. Well the first three weeks getting crabs from here was a pleasure they were heavy. Then they started getting lighter. I asked how they were running and was told good. So I bought but when you are paying top dollar and getting light or paper shell crabs you are throwing away your money. I told the owner and he said he just sells what he gets in. Well I have to buy where I can get good crabs. The place is very clean and the people are very nice. I also get live solf crabs here. The soft crabs were wonderful. These were nice size and at $3.00 each I did not think that was bad. I will probably give this carry out another try later. Maybe they are having a bad month.
