While this zoo might not be the biggest and/or best. I think it is just perfect for a family outing or for a place mom can take the kids on her own. I have gone several times and it is very doable in a couple of hours which is about all that young children can take anyways. I found there was plenty of shade, nice landscaping, plenty of chairs at the snack bars, the place was kept pretty clean. Yeah, the prices are a little steep but under 3 is free and there is a reduced rate for kids. My kids LOVED the big apes and watching the Pandas eat. Go when it is a bit cooler and you can see the animals moving around a bit more.
