I've been to a lot of resale stores in Chicago, and this one I go to again and again because it has quality merchandise. The place is very well organized and clean and has good clean items for sale. AND, every Monday, starting at 6am, everything is HALF-PRICE. Half price on THRIFT item prices!! This is a great place to get a deal. Oh-but it is crowded on Monday's and the checkout lines are long. And bring cash only.

The main reason I like this place is the location. It is an art store with almost everything, right downtown (near where I work). I've bought stained glass supplies and books, poster tubes, picture frames, scrapbooking stuff and more here. They even have a student/educator discount, and there is meter parking right outside.

It may seem like a cult when you see all those red shopping bags streaming from the American Girl Place in Chicago, and I had my concerns...but neice got one of the historic dolls over a year ago...
It may seem like a cult when you see all those red shopping bags streaming from the American Girl Place in Chicago, and I had my concerns...but neice got one of the historic dolls over a year ago and she and the family just love it. The doll is high quality, the historic dolls come with a story and teach girls confidence, and the outfits and furniture are FUN. I think the mom's aunt's and grandma's love this place more than the girls...

This is a great Irish Pub-the wood makes it feel really authentic. There aren't many tables (and its very popular), so it can be quite difficult to find a seat. If you do, the food here is excellent too. Sometimes you can watch a soccer game too.

This is like a TGI Friday's. We sat outside in the evening and aside from being on the street, it was nice. We were even treated by a nice view of the Navy Pier Fireworks! The food and drinks...
This is like a TGI Friday's. We sat outside in the evening and aside from being on the street, it was nice. We were even treated by a nice view of the Navy Pier Fireworks! The food and drinks were overpriced (it is just off Michigan Ave), but the food was surprisingly extra good. We left very happy with the food and the fireworks.

Had lunch here. We sat at the outdoor seating tables on the sidewalk off of Wells St. There wasn't too much traffic, so being near the street wasn't bad. There was only 1 person working I think,...
Had lunch here. We sat at the outdoor seating tables on the sidewalk off of Wells St. There wasn't too much traffic, so being near the street wasn't bad. There was only 1 person working I think, so service was slow but friendly. We both had salads that were nothing to write about. The prices were reasonable, free refills on the lemonade. Go there if you are hungry and just need somewhere to go-but its not a destination.

Went here for a birthday one year. They had a buffet in the evening, and it was wonderful to try so many different items, and to go back as many times as you want!! They also had a delicious ice...

They also had a delicious ice cream dessert on the buffet. I love the atmosphere, the history/geography they are based on, and the food. Excellent.

Its a bit of a storybook, its a bit of a zoo, and they have deer. It certainly doesn't compare with Cedar Point, but it is close by, and is fun for the little ones-maybe up to age 6 or 7 would...
Its a bit of a storybook, its a bit of a zoo, and they have deer. It certainly doesn't compare with Cedar Point, but it is close by, and is fun for the little ones-maybe up to age 6 or 7 would really enjoy it. School groups usually visit-you'll see the buses in the parking lot. Relaxing and nice.
