You can get lost in here…literally and figuratively. I recently went in to see a specific exhibit and emerged many hours later after browsing through several time periods and countries seeing just how art evolved throughout the years. The museum gets some amazing exhibits. Their cafes offer lovely snacks if you get hungry after traipsing around. The museum store has some absolutely gorgeous things ranging from knick-knacks to jewelry to books and toys. It is a great place to shop for special gifts.

For an amusing night out this is the place to go. For those not familiar with improv, it is a form of comedy theater where the audience provides certain criteria and the troupe incorporates these responses into their act. These guys are pros at it. Since you never quite know what is being thrown at you improv is a very difficult form to master. You would never know it by watching these actors.

Well after hearing about the infamous Salem Witch Museum for so many years I finally went. And I still don’t know what all of the fuss is about. You enter a large dark room. A narrator tells stories of the witch trials where lighting illuminates tableaus around the room. They are less than impressive. In fact, the statue of John Proctor looked eerily like Neil Young. The mood thus was ruined.

The Wang Center for the Performing Arts is what a theater should be. You walk in and are surrounded by gorgeous marble. The architecture is classic. It reminds of a time when people would dress for the theater. The seats are covered classically in red velvet and the ceiling and chandeliers are ornate and taking it all in makes the time spent waiting for the rich velvet curtain to go up pass rapidly.

This is the classic movie theater. The architecture style is very art deco, which in my opinion adds to the whole movie viewing experience. This theater usually gets the smaller more obscure or artsy films. It is small capacity, and parking is a pain so I would advise allowing extra time. The popcorn is slightly disappointing, I had high expectations. Other than that this is a winner.

Any of this sound good? Well it is! Redbones is amazing! The ribs melt in your mouth. They come with a choice of hot, mild, sour and medium sauce and you can even watch them slow cook them in the open style kitchen. Skip lunch if you’re eating dinner here because the portions are huge!
