Heard really good reviews about Mama's. I have been dying to try this place, but never had the chance until last Sunday. We waited about 30-40 mins before we were seated, but it's definitely worth the wait. Be sure to try their Monte Crise(?) Sandwich, you won't be disappointed. We also had crab egg Benedict on their special menu, and it was really good, lots of crab meat. It's real crab! French toast is a must. Omelet is okay. This is a great place for brunch on Sunday: free parking and Washington park is cross street. If you dont' like to wait, be there around 1:30ish, the line is shorter. They open from Tuesday to Sunday from 8am to 3pm.

Always packed with people during lunch and dinner. You should always make reservation for this place. Cool decor. Yellow tail (appetizer) is always good, small portion for the price though. I am a big fan of their grilled pork over rice noodle. very tasty. Service is always good at this place. Conclusion: over priced Vietnamese food.

Heard good reviews about this place, so decided to try it out. Walked in for dinner during a weekday, it was really packed. So, we had to sit by the bar. I can't speak for table service there, but the bar tender was great! I had Salad with roasted black mission figs, light but very tasty. My entree was fish, tender, tasty, cooked to perfection. Note to myself: make reservation next time.

This is one of my favorite breakfast places in SF. They only open for breakfast and lunch. I think they open from 6:30am to 3pm in the afternoon. They are closed every Tuesday. This tiny little place always packed with people, and the wait is usually an hour or longer. Loved my first time at Dottie's, we were seated by the counter, the chef put on quite a show, it's like having a private iron chef show at the Dottie's. Did i mention the food is excellent. I love their omelet, country style potato (usually comes with the meal), Italian sausage, French toast. Pancakes are average, but they are big and fluffy.

Although this is another fancy schmancy restaurant in SF, and i dont' really like their atmosphere, i was still wowed by the whole experience. This is a great place to go for special occasions. From the minute i walked in, i was treated as a VIP, an extra star for that. We had Chef selection (7 courses meal with dual preparation). Each course was prepared as a piece of art. They also offer 5 courses meal, small selections of first courses and entrees.

Tiny little restaurant, very popular in the area. Although they dont' take reservations, you can get there early, leave your name and cell number on the waiting list, then you can walk around, get some snacks or drinks from shops near by. They will call you when your table is ready. I had their famous samusa soup, soup is good, but not a big fan of the crunchy stuff in the soup, my friends like it though. Tea salad is good, and they have pretty good entrées. A bit disappointed on coconut rice though.

First of all, i love their cheesecakes, it's soft and rich, perfect with their house made whipped cream. Services at this place is always good, but waiting time is way too long. To beat the crowd, you need to get there around 11am for lunch, and 5ish for dinner. I'm not sure if their main entrees, but most appetizers are pretty yummy. One of my favorite is avocado egg roll. It's a nice place to order couple drinks and some appetizers. Not a big fan of their cocktails though, too sweet! Definitely recommend this place for Sunday brunch (served till 2pm), their smoked salmon egg Benedict is really good.

This place turned out to be a huge disappointment. It's expensive and their sushi sucks. Unagi is not fully cooked, sashimi is not fresh and rice is not soft. Service is okay and they give you free soup, seaweed salad and green tea ice cream. Although they have happy hour from 3:30 - 6:30pm, all drinks half off and sushi 25% off, i won't go back to this place.

My new favorite spot in town. Tiny little place with three levels. Upper level and lower level has a few sofa, it's good to chit chat and hang out. Cool decor, i like the water fountain thingie between the stairs and the lower level. You should definitely check out the men room if you have a chance, let's just say you will like the view. Liked the drinks and bar tender Michael was really cool. They even has a TV on the lower level for sports fans. If you are hungry, dont' worry, order something from their appetizers menu.
