If you are into dark settings (perhaps to make your date appear a little easier on the eyes) or Colin Farrell look-a-like waiters, then La Scatolina is the place for you. The food is probably as authentically Italian as you can get this far away from Italy. The Pinot Grigio was delicious, as was their homemade tiramisu. Free shots and the attentiveness of the wait-staff were also much appreciated. Finally, if you are lucky enough to be seated by the wall, you can be sure that you will be occupied and thoroughly entertained by the hodge-podge of stuff you will find there while you wait for your food (rusty old egg beater included).
