I reliably find what I'm looking for at the Fremont Sunday market. It's easier to find great vintage clothing, housewares and furniture that it is a thrift store or garage sale, not as competitive as an estate sale, and less expensive than an antique store.
There are some jewelery and candle makers I like, but most of the time I'm searching for vintage fabrics, side tables, chairs, sweaters, bags, colorful tins, vintage jewelry and surprises.
Some of the things I've purchased there: a great beaded summer bag for $6 that everyone wants to know where to find one of their own, my favorite TSE cashmere cardigan for $25, a cute nightstand for $18, a vintage bird cage holder that I use to hang a paper lantern for $13, a 40's era dinning table and chairs that needs refinishing for $185 and I could go on and on. You won't necessarily find exactly what you're looking for on your first visit, but make it a habit and you'll find it.
It's also just fun and relaxing to wander through, people watch and buy nothing.
The only problem I've had is with a couple vendors who I bought furniture from and paid extra for delivery and they never delivered it, so bring cash and truck if you are looking for something big.

Both locations are inviting with lots of warm wood and exposed brick.
Don't miss the chocolates and other lovely desserts or just pick some up for a special dinner.
Oh! And the bread is great tool.

The service providers at Ummelina have always been great and the services have been really nice but it was always a little strange. I've sensed tension between the people working there and the management and have overheard the massage therapists being spoken too sharply which stresses me out. Also, I think they take themselves a bit too seriously with all the zen stuff. At the end of the day, it's a pampering experience, not saving babies.

Flora has a great brunch. I love the breakfast quesadilla which usually has some squash, some greens and some cheese folded into a tortilla and surrounded by eggs. It comes with a lovely little salad.
Dinner is good, but not great. I've had some hits and some misses there, including the soups which are usually not as bold as I'd like.
In terms of gourmet veggie food, I'd go to Carmelita.

What I love about our zoo the most is that it's more like going to a park where there are animals than it is like going to a zoo (which I think of as having much more concrete and much less glass).
While I always find zoos a little sad, it does seem that the Woodland Park Zoo goes farther to make sure that the animals feel at home.
It's a great place to spend 1/2 a day and have a picnic.

I have a modest bungalow and my taste runs more to 40-50's vintage and girly rather than modern and if I could afford to, I'd by all my furniture here. This is where you'll find antique French chairs in fuscia silk upholostery or a perfect Robin's Egg blue sofa. The "to the trade" fabrics that you never get to see? They're here, but only the best and most exciting ones. There is always a perfect mix of more ornate and more sleek peices and if you can't find that new motif you're seeing in your favorite design magazines, try this place.
There is also a great collection of design and fashion books and nice little gifts (that I CAN afford).

I'm a vegetarian, so that might bias me. I've been to Cheesecake factory twice and both times the food has been unexceptional. If a group of people from work or something are going out and they want to go there, it's fine with me, but you won't find anything too interesting or inventive to eat. I must admit that I've never tried the Cheesecake or other desserts, so maybe that's what I'm missing...

I usually see Dr. Fischer. So far, she's completed a crown and filled a few cavities and I've had checkups and cleaning. The staff is always very serious about the cleanings and they use recent technology to inspect and record the status of your teeth. The billing staff work well with my insurance company with no bumps. Also, it's usually pretty easy to get into see Dr. Fischer or Nakanishi and they're both quite experienced and perfectionistic.
They also offer invisalign at a competitive rate and they're not afraid to give you nitrous if you need it :)

As a vegetarian, it can be sometimes hard to find just the right special restaurant for me. Carmelita is definitely my favorite spot for a nice dinner.
While the main courses are the stars, the inventive appetizers and salads are wonderful compliments to them. There are just so many nice options, like the refreshing homemade tamarind ginger lemonade, great teas, nice wines, and great bread that I feel pampered at the end of my meal. Try the gnocci, you won't forget it.
The servers are just some of the loveliest people I've met and really enhance the calm and charming atmosphere.
As far as being an appropriate place for non-vegetarians, both my midwestern, meat eating mother and sister rate Carmelita as their best Seattle dinning experience.
