This is worth a visit if you’re in Monterey or the surrounding area. They have an amazing display of jellyfish right now that is fascinating. Other favorites included the Splash Zone and penguins and the sea otters. Make sure you get over to the deep water to see the huge fish! There is a ton of hands-on stuff for the kids, but adults will love checking out the underwater world too. Get to the feeding shows early if you want to watch (a must for the sea otters) because the space to watch fills up quickly. Get tickets from a local hotel because you’ll get two consecutive days admission for the price of one and then you can take your time and see everything.

This is a less expensive motel in the area, but offers a lot of amenities for the price. The rooms need some updating and are showing some signs of wear, but the bathroom featured marble tile and a jetted tub. The walls are a little thin (but we also were in a room that was an adjoining one with the one next door). Each room has a mini fridge and microwave and coffee maker. They have an indoor pool and spa that they keep heated to a nice temperature. They feature an expanded continental breakfast that includes hot Belgian waffles, cold cereal, bagels, fruit, orange juice, milk, hot cocoa, toast, and more! This is just down the street from a shopping mall and California Pizza Kitchen. You’re too far to walk to Cannery Row or the aquarium if you stay here.

Items in the store are pricier because this is more of an upscale boutique. They are located on the bottom floor in the main building of Trolley Square, a fun in-door shopping destination.

This pediatrician is good with babies. He answered all of our questions and responded to our concerns with reassurance. He is supportive of parents and our natural parenting instincts in doing what is best for our child. The only downside to going with this pediatrician is if you deliver in Redding he doesn’t have privileges at Mercy Medical Center so you’ll have to arrange for someone else to see your baby like the on-call resident. Make sure you call far in advance to schedule your regular well-baby checkups or they fill up and you will either have to postpone your visit for later or see someone else as specific doctors are not always available.

When you are looking for an engagement or wedding ring try this place. After going to several jewelers we bought from here because they had the best service and good value for our money. In addition to rings and stones they also sell fine watches, jewelry, porcelain including Lladro, and more. We only purchased our ring’s setting here because we already had the stones and we didn’t feel any more pressure from them and still received outstanding service. They resized the ring for us at no charge for the perfect fit and gave us a discount on wedding bands. Their staff is helpful and easy to work with.

I recommend extreme caution when having anything printed or fulfilled by this print house. They do offer a wide range of services, but every time we worked with them it seemed like one mix-up after another. A lot of our stock shells that they also produced for us would get wasted because of their mistakes in the print department. I have heard that other designers have had problems with this print house too. Make sure if you use them that you get everything in writing and double check it even if it was okay the first time.

This is a locally owned and operated fabrics and quilting store. They have a huge selection of fabrics and also carry notions, ribbon, books, and finished fabric crafts. They also offer sewing classes for beginners or advanced students and have block-of-the-month quilt projects. The staff is really helpful if you need some advice on your latest project. They are a little more expensive than some of the chain stores, but you will probably get better service here.

I found the staff very helpful and friendly. The ladies ran all over to get me different sizes. In addition to clothes they offer a limited selection of nursing bras and also carry a few books on parenting, baby names, etc.
