I really like Dr. Wright. He is very professional, does a great job with my teeth, and has a great sense of humor, which makes the time go by quicker. The reason I only gave him three stars is that I've had problems with the other staff. Once I went in for a cleaning and they had forgotten to put it in their computer, so I drove a half hour for nothing, and then they said they couldn't get me in for another 6 weeks, which made me upset. I also had two separate billing problems with them, arising because someone in my household had the same last name as another patient in their database. So, overall I'd give Dr. Wright 5 stars, but his office staff only gets about 2.

I only went here once, because I switched insurance companies and they weren't covered by the new one. The facility was very clean, and the staff was professional and friendly. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth seemed to do a very good job, and she had a great sense of humor. My only complaint is that I had to wait what seemed like a very long time to see the dentist.

I had the pleasure of visiting here for the first time recently while spending a day touring the Napa Valley. Of all the places I visited, I felt like Freemark Abbey had the friendliest staff, and the room just had a warm feel to it (I'm not talking about the temperature). The gentleman who was helping us was able to give us a lot of informtion not only about this winery but also others in the area and local restaurants. He opened wines for us that weren't even on their "tasting menu", and I just had a really great time here. They sell their wines here, and also have a nice selection of other Napa gifts.

Uncle Dan's has a lot of outdoor supplies, like camping and fishing gear. Whether you need a new pair of Tevas or a camping stove, this place probably has it. I think their prices are just ok, but their staff is generally pretty friendly. Parking is a real pain on Lincoln Avenue almost any time of day, so that's a strike against it, but that's just life in the city.

This is another one of my top ten wine shops (as you can tell if you've read my reviews, wine is one of my big hobbies). I have been in their shop a few times, and they have a huge selection of great wines in every price range, all crammed into a little shop in a strip mall. I have ordered twice through their website now because it saves me a trip of going down there just to see if they have something in stock. Both times, I communicated via email with Carey, who almost always responds within a couple of hours. Their prices are average, but the service and selection is fantastic!

2020 is another one of my top ten wine shops in Southern California (maybe in the country). They have a nice facility- a lot of wines packed into a smaller space- but one of the things I really like about them is that I can check their website and just order what I want without even having to go into the store. I can email them with any questions, and they will hold my wines there so I can pick them up at my convenience, or they will just ship them to me (it only takes one day- I live about an hour and a half from this store).

Wally's is said by many to be the best wine shop in Los Angeles. I don't know that I'd go quite that far, but it's definitely in the top ten. The have great service, decent prices, and carry an excellent selection of domestic and imported wines. They get some really hard-to-find wines, but you'd better call ahead and get your name on a waiting list, because they sell out very quickly.

Anymore, it seems like almost every theater out there is a generic, cookie-cutter, corporate-owned place. Not this one. The Rialto is a small theater- yep, one movie at a time, folks. Sometimes they have big-production films, but sometimes they show independent and art films. They have cult classics like Pulp Fiction and The Rocky Horror Picture Show on the weekends at Midnight. The staff seems to be there because they love movies, not because it's just a job they could work after school. This theater is not really close to my house, but I don't mind the drive. Also, here's a random bit of trivia: The Rialto Theater is where Tim Robbins' character meets Vincent D'Onofrio's character (and then kills him in a parking lot) in one of my favorite films "The Player:" Honestly, that's why I went here the first time!

This is a really nice public market. There is a good collection of local merchants who bring their goods to sell here, including lots of food items (from fresh produce to jarred salsa), fresh flowers, crafts, art, and gift items. The prices of most vendors items are reasonable, and it's a great way to support local merchants.
