Paint Your 'Art Out is a great place to go for any reason - a birthday party, a rainy day, for gift-giving ideas, and more.
There is a great selection of ceramics to paint and lots of fun ideas all over the store. I had a fun time taking my kids to make tiles for Father's Day gifts, and even more fun going with girlfriends to paint pottery for each other.

Scrapbook Nook is my favorite scrapbook store. There is a great selection of products to choose from, and they always have the latest and greatest. Their selection of patterned papers rivals any store I've found, they have everything from stickers to cardstock to die cuts both for purchase as well as for use in the store to all the metal accessories that are so hot right now.
They have a great little kids' area so you can let your kids play happily while you shop, and a crop area that is perfect for getting together with friends and creating together (but be advised, the kids area is not for use by people who are using the crop area).
They have archives of magazines offered at a discount which is very useful as you can get exactly the issue you wanted if you missed it before.
The staff is friendly and knowledgeable; I look forward to seeing their smiling faces when I go in. They offer classes for the newest techniques and products as well. The Scrapbook Nook is a great store for any scrapbooker!

The Pacific Science Center, located near the Seattle Center in downtown Seattle, is a fun, hands-on museum that is fun for everyone from children to adults. With its interactive exhibits, it gets everyone involved and wanting to learn more.
The combination of indoor and outdoor sections makes it a fun place to go no matter what the weather is like outside, and it seems there is always something new and fun to see every time you go.

Obadiah Salon has a very calm, relaxing atmosphere and offers a variety of services. Their skilled hair stylists do wonderful work in a light, airy, relaxing environment.
They have a whole list of services they offer as a day spa, with several types of massages and facials as well as manicures and pedicures and makeup application.
I loved their promotional materials, they were clear and well-presented. Overall, this was a very nice spa that makes for a great treat to yourself or as a special gift to a friend or loved one.

My only wish is that they had more restaurants!
Located in Post Alley across from the main arcade at Pike Place Market, Pike Place Chowder has earned its reputation as having the best clam chowder, period. They serve their piping hot chowder in bread bowls, and no matter how filling it is, I can never get enough. The spices blend so well, and the stock is neither too thick nor too thin, there is just the right amount of chunkiness to it, and it's perfectly seasoned. I never have to add anything to it.
I can only comment on the clam chowder as I've never wanted to order anything else on the menu knowing how much I love the new england style clam chowder. I've heard the other chowders are equally delicious; perhaps someday I'll be adventurous enough to order something new!

Sotto Voce is a tiny storefront just outside of the Public Market on Pike Place in Seattle. All they sell is oil and vinegar, so they're sure to have the best product possible.
My favorite part of the store is the goblets full of their oils and vinegars and small bits of bread with toothpicks for sampling. Each bottle has ideas for what that oil or vinegar best complements, and a recipe guide is included with a purchase. Additionally, they give you a spout for the containers so it's one less thing to have to have to purchase on your own. The bottles are packaged beautifully - each is hand packaged so no two labels will be identical. Each bottle is topped with a cork and a little embellishment on top of that - but the real reason for buying it, of course, is the product inside.
The oils are smooth and rich, extremely aromatic and flavorful, with the ingredients the oil is infused with still in the bottle. My favorite vinegar is the spicy, tangy Aceto Balsamico (Balsamic vinegar) with whole garlic cloves, whole red chilis, and red pepper, and my favorite oil is the Olio Dorato - lemon, sun dried tomatoes and peppercorns that make for a great flavor to add to seafood dishes.

Ivar's is a favorite of ours any time we're down by the ferry or the beach in Mukilteo. The restaurant is great - order and eat outside, or sit in the restaurant inside that sits out on the water. There is no going wrong!
The clam chowder is delicious - rich and creamy, hot and chunky, the perfect food for those dreary northwest days. Besides their famous clam chowder, they have excellent fried fish and huge french fries. I love buying a bag of food and taking it to the beach to warm us up. Even my kids devour the clam chowder!

We got in a car accident in March and needed to purchase another car. Deciding to purchase new, we found a new "breed" of car - the Scion. Rodland Toyota-Scion was conveniently located on WA-99, and that was our first choice of car dealerships.
Initially, I wasn't too thrilled with the service - it took a very long time for anyone to come assist us, perhaps because we had our two young children with us? However, when we finally flagged down a salesperson, the rest of our experience was much more positive and went very smoothly.
Our salesperson, John Y., was outstanding - we felt no pressure, he answered our questions without trying to sell us anything else. I truly felt like he had our best interests in mind.
Everything went quickly and smoothly, and I was very impressed with our experience with Rodland Toyota Scion.

I really loved this restaurant; however, I can imagine how it wouldn't be for everyone. It's a very open room and the tables are close together which gives off a somewhat "cafeteria" feeling, except that the decor is beautiful and it's never been crowded when I've been there.
I thought the menu was varied enough that I could order something new every time I went, and it was arranged well to facilitate ordering. I've eaten out and had take-out, and both times my order was done quickly. The food was fresh and piping hot, delicious and well presented.
