Gushi is for the Korean BBQ lover in you. The prices are decent, and reflect the portion of meat you order, unlike other places further down on Sawtelle. The location is close to campus, food tastes great and pretty much made when you order. My only qualms are the outside seating (if it's cold), lack of parking and the [sometimes belligerent] bums that constantly nag your already empty pocket for money.

Elysee is the ideal cafe & bakery. The atmosphere is distinctly relaxing, as opposed to the starbucks pump-out-your- order and get you moving syle. I come in, there's free wifi, there's delicious treats that are hard to find anywhere else, and the coffee is delicious. The service is really inimitable - the barista always makes a wonderful swirling pattern out of steamed milk, whenever I order a mocha. In addition to all this, you'll hear music playing that you almost certainly have never heard before, occasionally from the likes of Dino Merlin and others. This is my favorite coffee shop, period.

YUM, YUM, YUM!!! Three amazing, fresh-baked cookies for just a buck (or two cookies smothering a scoop of ice cream, for a fresh ice cream sandwich)...ho w could you possibly go wrong. Just one question...how does the Mrs. Fields around the corner stay in business? They're a TOTAL ripoff...somet hing like $1.45 for just ONE lousy cookie. Don't Mrs. Fields' customers know that just around the corner is the home of the AMAZING Diddy Riese cookies??? Go Bruins!!!

I love all their meat and mahi mahi there! The food is seriously CHEAP considering the HUGE portion of meat that you get-- I am a pretty big eater and one meal fills me up for dinner AND lunch the next day! I like the Teriyaki Chicken, Kal-bi, and Teriyaki Beef, and Mahi Mahi. Not to mention the mayo-filled macoroni salad is delicious as well. I have absolutely no complains about the place.. well, except for their noodle soup. Do NOT get their noodle soup! But who cares, everything ELSE is so great!

I went to this place with my roommate before school over the winter break last year. i guess the place was ok, the food was decent, but not great. you have a variety of Asian food to choose from. I am from Asia where the food is unbelievably good so i have high taste. the food isn't worth the money, but if you want to impress someone on a date, or any special occasion, then this is the place to go. Well...not for Asians though.

Lunch for 2 (app: glazed prawns with walnuts
& butterfly pillows, ent: chilean sea bass &
some chicken dish i can't remember, des:
panna cotta & noni cake, drinks: soda) set us
back around $80. the food was excellent, but
then again, when was the last time someone
messed up chilean sea bass and prawns??
it was a bit pricey, i'd prefer to go to a "cooler"
restaurant for the price we paid for lunch. the
butterfly pillows were interesting and i
reccomend trying the eurochow dome.
oh yeah, the ambiance is incredible,
casablanca lillies, lit tables, and all.

Sometimes it's the best! The Sicilian Pizza is cheesie and really good. Lamonica's decor is that of a NY subway station. If I am not mistaken, the owner brings in the dough from NY because the water here is not good for making pizza dough. The downside is that the guys who bake the pizzas do not know when to take them out of the oven. The result is that the cheese is on the brown side. Overdone for NY pizza. Pizzas with toppings don't burn as much. Solution: If you buy a whole pie, ask that that they take it out of the oven before the cheese gets too brown; especially if you are going to take it home and REHEAT it. A better NY place (argueably) is Village Pizza in Larchmont Village.

the atmosphere is fairly romantic because it's dim with candlelight, but it's still more of a take out type of place. but the food isn't all that special. for a quick slice of pizza this is ok, but if you have the time and a few extra bucks, then going to bj's is probably worth your while. Westwood has so many pizza places, you can make your decision wisely.

I absolutely love this place. Great food, large portions, inexpensive, lots of options, and great service. The owner guy is really friendly and actually cares about his customers. I've tried the turkey sandwich (which I highly recommend) and a lot of the pastas, and so far have really liked everything I've tried. Go there
