Medicus provides "immediate" walk-in "care". Note the quotations around immediate -- the average wait to be seen even by a nurse is over an hour, even when the waiting room is not full. When I had my shoulder injury, workers comensation would only cover Medicus until they FINALLY referred me to a real doctor (see my review on Dr Thompson). For over 2 months, I travelled from Albany to Poughkeepsie every weekend to go to Medicus, to sit in their waiting room for 45-180 minutes, to be told that my shoulder is fine. This was August-October 2003. In November 2004 I had shoulder surgery for the same injury. I was not at all happy with the supposed "care" I recieved at Medicus.
